Just back from a latest appointment with the GP, and it appears that even though they've tested for anemia as well as infections etc, they've not yet tested for Vitamin D.
Since I received the private tests (below) i know I'm deficient, so have been taking 5000iu for the last two weeks to improve my levels and was going to test again in Dec/Jan. Do you have stop supplementing or leave a number of hours between taking the supplements and testing? I now supplement with Vit D, Vit B complex, methyfolate and selenium.
Incidentally it was the first (and last) time I saw this particular GP, she wanted to reduce my dose down from 125mg Levo, which I refused as never felt good on 100mg as TSH should be "between 2 and 3"!!!! Ask asked if I was depressed to which I responded NO! Seen 3 different GPs during the 7 years I've been diagnosed, and all the others have used clinical judgement as well as TSH and fT4 to keep me on my dose.
Today's results:
TSH 0.638 (0.27 - 4.20)
fT4 18 (12.00 - 22.00)
