Mouth Ulcers
I've had ET for a couple of years, take 1gm Hydrea daily. I am getting horrendous mouth ulcers, often 3 or 4 at a time. The Haematologist has tried lowering my dosage, but my blood count goes up, so that's not an option. My zinc and B vitamin levels are normal. I have every medication on Boots' shelves

Night Cramps torment
Hi to everyone. Does anyone have any suggestions to help relieve night cramps in both legs and feet? I am 63 years. I have endured these for the last 8 or 9 years and it seems to be getting worse. I am taking prescribed quinine every night, (breaking the course for a week every month) and cover my legs

Good news on numbers!
Hi Everyone! I just had to post to let you know all my numbers are continuing to improve. My biggest issue was hemoglobin and it's now up to a 14. My cells have come back normal in shape and size. My oncologist is thrilled with where I'm at and I did have final iron infusion today as a booster and he

Should I see my gp or an endo or who?
Hi, I've been reading a little while and am dead impressed with the knowledge here. I'm not really sure of my next steps and I was wondering what you all recommended. I've been working with a nutritionist to try and lose weight /have more energy and after getting nowhere with dieting, she sent me for

Hypothyroid is much more complicated than I thought!
I was diagnosed with Grave's disease (Hyperthyroid) 5 years ago and had RAI 3 years ago which made me hypothyroid. I cutrently take 75mcg and 100mcg on alternate days based on my T4 and TSH results only! I trusted my doctors were treating me correctly but my legs and arms ache every day and the pain

Any thoughts/advice on my results?
Main symptoms are Fatigue, weight gain, lack of concentration & drive. Nearly all bloods are “in range” so for docs nothing wrong with me, so went back for more detailed bloods to research myself and ask for help and advice from others who have more of a clue! Not on any thyroid meds as doctors all

Reasons Of Rise In Thyroid Problem
We don't ponder the thyroid… and we should. Particularly considering that this non-descript little organ situated in your neck produces hormones that direct vitality digestion, control protein combination and alter your body's affectability to different hormones. As indicated by the American Thyroid

Test selenium, zinc and magnesium?
Is it advisable to try to get doctor to test these before start supplementing? Or is it ok to just start these without knowing your levels?

Pelvis injury ... Gone!
In the words of my physio, I put my pelvis "out" 2 weeks ago by attempting to lift a heavy pot in the garden (at the exact second I realised I couldn't lift this pot I felt something go "pop". Ouch). Anyhoo, strapped up, kept working, went to Pilates - but no running ... Until last night! Went for a

Help with test results
I have most my blood results back and nearly everything is within range! A few things to note: the B12 I have been on a course of it since April to improve it, it was at 255 so has risen to 313 now. On the Anti-TG there is a note to say the sample was Hemolyzed so needed to be redone. Cortisol is high

Looking for help and guidance on starting T3 only
Hi, I am looking for some help and guidance from you lovely people, having now run out of enough money to be able to buy meds/supps AND consult my private doctor (PD). You have been so helpful in the past :-) In March I saw a PD, he ran tests and diagnosed hypothyroidism (due to converting T4 to T3)

Chronic joint pain in neck - stomach bloating.
Hi all, is anyone suffering from constant joint pain? I'm on T3 (2.5 grains a day taken in 2 parts, morning and late afternoon) and it's changed my life. It's amazing. It has gotten rid of so many of my past problems, mainly headaches and exhaustion But I have this contestant pain in the back and right

Matcha 💕
Enjoying some matcha this afternoon! There are so many benefits to drinking Matcha! Here are a few; 1. When you drink matcha you ingest the entire leaf and receive 100% of the nutrients from the leaves. 2. Matcha powdered green tea has 137 times more antioxidants than regularly brewed green tea. 3
