What are the Significant Tests to Determine Pernicious Anemia
Hello Everyone...I'd like to start by saying how much I appreciate each of you. I have learned an enormous amount of information since joining this group and it has helped me in so many ways; one of which is how to form questions to ask my doctors (I go in prepared with written questions as my brain

What nutrient tests would you recommend please?
In a previous post I mentioned my dad was due a call from GP to discuss his Dec nutrients and thyroid TFTs. It was the usual wait and see approach and test annually for his thyroid but she suggested he continues to supplement iron to try to address his overall levels, particularly his ferritin which

Quick question: magnesium zinc & selenium
Hey All I've been ferreting around online to see if there is any reason NOT to take magnesium, zinc and selenium together. I've seen some things saying magnesium and zinc actually complement each other and are good taken together but can't seem to find anything about the selenium. Does anyone know if

Takes time but getting better
It is a long and often painful journey but my experience is that I/we am/are getting quite a lot back brainwise but very slowly. At the moment I'm on immune suppressants to stop my brain inflaming itself and any infection is potentially fatal. I'm also on anti-biotics to treat a water infection or UTI

Private GP? Can they help?
Hi all, I have ordered a private blood tests this morning thanks to this group. Long story short I’m on 75mg of LEVO and have been for 6 years. I have been working with a PT on a calorie controlled gluten free diet for over 6 weeks with little results. The PT suggested I looked into T3 conversation

Supplement timing
Hey just wanted to check in on timing the following supplements and if you would add any others in or increase the amount. I take 150mg of Levothyroxine in the morning an hour before anything but water. I eat a gluten free diet and am careful about cross contamination. Sadly disnt get tested before

How to Increase BDNF
So somebody over on FB posted they were taking BDNF for PD anxiety (or maybe just for anxiety) so I Googled and found BDNF = Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor and BDNF supplements do not contain Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor. But I did find this article on strongcoffee.com. https://strongcoffeecompany.com

Low iron levels
I have been put on Ferrous Sulphate tablets because my serum ferritin was only 11 (lower limit of normal is 15) It was picked up from a routine blood test but I have been even more fatigued than ever for some while now, had palpitations and I am naturally pale skinned. Does anyone know if this is a consequence

On Active Surveillance - Why not non-invasive aggressive approach?
I'm 53 and in good general health and exercise regularly. Jan 24, 2022 following 1st biopsy last June, and MRI in Oct, I had image guided biopsy primarily to check ROI/Lesion from MRI. Result confirms same as June biopsy of Adenocarcinoma Gleason 6, Grade 1 in about 5 cores (including 1 in ROI) at

Any thoughts as to why increasing liothyronine (extended release) by just 1 mcg makes me hyper, but when not taking it I’m hypo?
I am taking 9.79 mcg liothyronine extended release plus .125 mcg generic synthroid in a.m. for Hashimoto's. In the afternoon I was taking 8.79 mcg liothyronine and crashing by mid-afternoon. When I try increasing to 9.79 in the afternoon I feel ‘normal’, can do what I need to do, but feel anxious, slightly
