I have LVF and am taking Ramipril and Carvedilol.
Is it safe to take Vitamin C and zinc ? I had an EF of 35 after chemo and Herceptin and it is hoped it will improve in time. I saw a Cardiologist two years and it hadn’t and I haven’t seen him since then or had an echo understandably. I have no symptoms. Because of Covid dodging I’m about to take some

Visit with endocrinologist this week... first after starting NDT
My endocrinologist has been in the process of changing to a new practice, so I haven't been in touch with him for a couple of months. I had full labs drawn a couple of weeks ago, and I'll be seeing him this week for the first time at his new practice. Before he moved, I was on 50 mcg of levothyroxine

Prep For Frozen Transfer
Hi Team! I have had 2 embryos frozen (planned fresh but polyp needs to be removed). This is my first ivf cycle. 7.7 AMH age 40 so happy with 2 eggs and they have suggested to have both transferred together. I want to use this time now to get in the best possible position for the FT. Any advice, diet

The Nutritional Supply of Iodine and Selenium Affects Thyroid Hormone Axis Related Endpoints in Mice
Good to see some more research on these issues. I suspect a lot of the standard picture of selenium and iodine with respect to thyroid wellness requires much verification and a fair bit of revision. The continuing problem is identifying what needs to be done - and how to achieve appropriate levels

How to know which symptom is which :)
Hello, I used to be on Armour and then Nature Throid back in 2015-2017, feeling generally quite well up until few years ago when my endo put me on Levo due to NT reformulation. Even with added t3 I was feeling dreadful, with labs high in range. I have asked to be moved to Armour about a year ago and

Vitamin advice
I know from here that multi vitamins are generally no good I wondered what the experts think to these Alive woman’s energy vitamins please? I currently take vitamins D, K, C, magnesium and selenium, but wouldn’t mind trying something for an extra energy boost! In addition to the photo, they also contain

Iodine deficiency disturbs the metabolic profile and elemental composition of human breast milk
Sometimes it appears that the thyroid world divides in two - on the one hand, those who avidly promote taking iodine, sometimes in prodigious quantities, and on the other hand, those who dismiss iodine out of hand. What I consider necessary is an understanding of where you are in terms of iodine levels

vitiligo around the eyes. 8y old girl
Hi there Very excited to join. My daughter has two skin conditions. She has this little white spot since 2017. It disappeared in 2018 and comes back around this year. The spot now is getting bigger and spreading around her knees feet. Seen by many specialists and they confirm its vitiligo. I disagree

How much zinc is ok
I don’t know if anyone knows for sure but I have been taking 30mg zinc a day my dermatologist prescribed me a while ago for just hormonal breakouts she said it was safe for pregnancy. I am on my second ivf round and about to do an embryo transfer. I was thinking 30mg is maybe a lot. Does anyone know

Advice for a newbie about blood test
First time posting. I am going for a blood test on the 24th at my GP surgery. I suspect I am hypothyroid after gaining around 45 pounds since 2019. I had a well-woman NHS check-up in 2019 and the doctor said my TSH levels were off, but not to an extent that needed medication. They said to come back if

Alternative to Levothyroxide on NHS
Hi everyone, My most recent results show my thyroid still needs to be re-medicated (long story but I came off Levo under the instruction of Dr Peatfield before he retired) but I am reluctant to go back on to Levothyroxine because it made me feel horrendous. I was previously taking 175mcg and my TSH still

Dairy free diet, it has helped stop rls at night
Around 5 months ago I was told I was lactose intolerant and needed to have a complete dairy free diet. I've had rls for many years I just did not know I had it until I started to come off morphine and pregabalin, my doctor said it was rls and it might just be the rehab causing it, however my symptoms
