Hypothyroid misery! would appreciate on my latest lab results
I had become very symptomatic (extreme brain fog, fatigue, depression, weight gain, joint pain) after several years of doing well on 75 mcg levothyroxine, as my former gp kept my TSH at a 1, where I felt best. I relocated, and my new gp (testing only TSH once a year) felt my latest TSH results of 3.96

Safe to take supplements?
Hi, With all the meds I'm taking in first year after triple CABG is it safe to take supplements (namely Vitamin D / zinc in winter months)? Or will I be overwhelming my liver? Thanks

Which blood tests to take?
I’m due to see my doctor again in a couple of weeks, and whilst I’m due to do a full thyroid panel, I’m conscious that various advice on here has also advised to test a broader range of things. Off the top of my head, that should include: Ferritin Folate Vitamin D Vitamin B12 I’m currently ting selenium

Tricky Thyroid Patient! Advice please.
Hello, I have pasted my recent results below. Is anyone else known as a tricky thyroid patient?! These results are after a daily increase to 125mcg in July. My TSH has never been so low! However, I don't really feel any different. I feel 'flat' and fat! Still cannot lose weight and a couple of stones

Is an early morning blood test on an empty stomach just for a higher TSH?
Hello, can I just ask is it just B vitamins you don't take a week before your blood test? I've stopped vit D, zinc and magnesium too just in case. Also is the advice 'empty stomach early in the morning for the blood test' just to get a higher TSH? If so, and as my TSH is always less than 0.01, is it

My hashis journey - t4 to NDT to t4/NDT to t4/t3 - what next?
I have learnt so much reading posts and replies over the last while, and it seems I have finally hit a bit of a wall with my own experimentation and would absolutely love your thoughts or advice you might have for me. Since being diagnosed with Hashis, I have tried a number of methods for medicating

Zinc supplement recommendation
A doctor suggested taking zinc picolinate; which contains copper; at night but it has made me sick quite a few times so I stopped taking it. I do look to see which foods, including seeds and nuts, contain zinc but don't keep details in my mind - I started eating cashew nuts more often but then forgot

Started Levo and wondering when I might start to feel better - any supplements I need to add?
I finally managed to get the GP to try me on 25mcg Levothyroxine, which I have been taking for just under a month now. Does anyone with CLL is taking SUPPLEMENTS like ZINC?
Hello, I've heard that ZINC could be helpful - but my oncologist doesn't know about supplements, bless his heart, he know a lot about conventional medicine! If anyone has a good NATUROPATH cognizant with CLL and has had good results or experience with supplements, please share. THANK YOU 😊🙏🏼💖

Zinc could be delivered to PC, but...
Tried zinc acetate/DMSO transdermal (before hormones). It made action, however things are not so simple. Actually locally advanced cancer was enhanced- CT show its blood vessel forming.

Are you worried about purity of supplements
Here is an article from Hardys on their testing. If you are taking many of the ingredients individually why not try switching to Hardys with extra vitamers at least for a trial to see if it makes a difference to you. https://www.hardynutritionals.com/blog/2021/09/purity-and-testing-we-only-source-the-best

Tinnitus just started
I have been slowly increasing my levo (finally after many discussions and tests with endos and Gp) and recently went up to 100mcg. I am getting blood tests done to see what effect that has had on all my levels. I’m the meantime I am now suffering from tinnitus which I see can be related to thyroid dysfunction
