Update in current treatment!
After bloods & stool samples I'm declared normalš the Dr says my thyroid is stable so need to worry. I don't think they listen as I believe the thyroid & acid reflux goes hand in hand, so I'm to have an endoscopy to see why I continue with symptoms meanwhile back on the lansoperzole (off for 4weeks)

Vitamins
Hello all. I'm now trying to optimise my vitamins so I'm using Thorne Basic B and I've taken this forum's advice about getting D3 with K2 but I'm not sure which type of magnesium is best for us? The citrate kind or the other? Also I think we are supposed to have Selenium and Zinc, yes? Any particular

Cold remedies
Hello all. Anyone have any input on using zinc, sugar-free lozenges for mild sore throat. Have used hot, salt-water gargling and antiseptic wash, but before being diagnosed with CKD stage 2. I give grandkids zinc, honey, cherry as antiviral throat lozenge. Is it okay to use with ckd?

Hello all, I'm looking for a bit of collective advice. I have had serious side effects from the BISOPROLOL I was taking, song burning cold aches in my hands and feet as if they are about to go into pins and needles mode and so I was advised by my NHS cardio at Barts Hospital to change to VERAPAMIL

Raising t3 without raising t4
Hi, just after some advice re increasing my t3. On paper my results look good, but I am still so fatigued! (Vitamins, ferretin levels all good as private bloods checked regularly) I'm also taking HRT, recent test revealed oestrogen raised, (twice highest recommended level) so reducing my intake in

Boosting Low labido, Testosterone, progesterone
Has anyone taken a particular supplement or combined, mini pill or mirena coil and found it has had positive benefits on increasing labido? I feel oike my thyroid symptoms and levels are managed quite well but still no labido and that makes me sad. Scared to try anything incase it has a negative impact

Should I stop any supplements after transfer?
Hi all, Am finally getting to go through my first frozen transfer after 3 cancelled cycles (one fresh two frozen). I'm currently taking a few supplements (have been for at least 9 -12 months) but is there any that I should stop taking the day of or after transfer? I assume most are fine but just wanted

Is there an alternative to Areds2?
I have been taking Areds2 for about three or four years, after my ophthalmologist recommended it at the beginning of my treatment for wet MD. I'm concerned about the levels of zinc (80 mg) in two pills, because I've read that the maximum for an adult is 40 mg. Because I'm 80 years old, I'm more concerned

Mega high Selenium. 367ug/L (67-135). Taking 200mcg daily. Does anyone taking this dose know what their selenium levels are?
Started 200mcg selenium 1/8/22 to try to get rid of puffiness under my eyes, light sensitivity, etc. I know that even the NHS consider this safe as the NHS site says that 350mcg of selenium supplements are unlikely to cause any harm. The TED charity recommend 200mcg selenium for 6mths, dropping back

Low Morphology - can it be normal?
Some places seem to say if itās just morphology that is low in sperm analysis then it is still considered normal so not a problem - is that true? Husbandās sperm had 1% morphology, other results normal though density was a bit low. Going to ask for another retest (heās had two tests already). He has

New to OP, Hormone for building bones
It was suggested that there is a hormone that helps to build bone. I am not talking about estrogen. Soon I will be 70 and that hormone has an increased risk of cancer. Is there another hormone for bone density? I have taken the recommended supplements, 1200 mg calcium and D3 along with the recommended
