Antioxidant supplement ivf
Hi all, just wondering if anyone took an antioxidant supplement during ivf. I’m taking a prenatal vitamin (which has the recommended folic acid and vitamin d advised by my clinic) but this has also been suggested by a friend. From what I can tell antioxidant supplements have the same level of selenium

Can anyone help? I saw a consultant a couple of weeks ago who did a prescription for me to take to my GP, the prescription was for Cerazette. The pill was prescribed to try and control my pain not necessarily as a contraceptive. I have collected my prescription from the pharmacy today and I have been

Zometa and Celebrex
A number of references have been made on this forum about the added survival time that results when Celebrex is added to Zometa. Is there anyone out there who has been or is on this regimen and, if so, what can you share with us?

Beta-Sitosterol
I came across this regarding beta-sitosterol, but nothing further regarding PCa potential benefits. Curious why there's not more on this, if anyone knows. http://cancerres.aacrjournals.org/content/67/9_Supplement/1650 Jeff

Zometa / Celebrex and Lipitor
As Tall Allen pointed out to me a few months ago, zometa and Celebrex combined (but neither alone) were shown to reduce deaths on men with metastatic PC over 20% with relatively minor risks. I started the combo 3 months ago with my MOs blessing and I’ve experienced zero side affects to date. In fact

CBD/THC Pot for 83 yo Dad ?
Hi. New here, writing here in regards to my 83yo Dad. He’s been battling PC for almost 14 years! Hearing lots of very similar stories here; His recurrence came back in 2016 as Metastasized to Bones. But last scan many tumors have shrunk. He abides to a no Dairy & Sugar policy, but eats lean protein.

Lupron shot
My guy is getting his second lupron shot today. The first one was for three months. I don't remember any side effects from the shot. I think this second shot is a 6 month shot. He is currently on zytiga, prednisone and monthly zometa. Should we expect any initial side effects from today's shot?

Kisqali, Faslodex and Zometa
I'm on my 10th cycle of kisqali and faslodex along with monthly zometa. My tumor markers are now down to 20. My PET CT Scan no progression and my onc say I'm stable. I've asked will my TM get to zero and answer was no. So what is NED - no evidence of disease?

Words, Abbreviations & Acronyms
As I read the posts here I am often overwhelmed by the acronyms, abbreviations, and drug names. I rarely know what they refer to. So I'm offering to compile a list of them not only for my own edification and understanding, but for others who might come here and be as confused as I am. So...here are

Hi I need some advice, I have been on many different contraceptions, It started when I was a child with the pill (not sure of the name), I then went onto the injection which I got every 3 months then after a year or so went straight to the implant and then the coil which neither my body could agree with

Scan results in!
First off I want to thank all of you for praying for me during my scan. All my lung nodules are smaller or stable since 5 months. No more plural effusion, thank you God! Abdomen is all normal. However I have a increase sclerosis and lyric component on T7. I have same on T8. Starting Zometa this week,

Just random thoughts for today I think
ms has joined our life, did anybody notice the young man just diagnosed (DX'd) at 15 years of age. I mentioned this last night to "she who must be obeyed" and she said looking back she had noticed things a long time before her Dx. Thinking about it I had noticed the same types of things, and just

Bone Metsters!
Hi I’m Heather! I’ve had MBC with mets to the bones since July ‘16...my Onc resently suggested we may make a change in treatment. I have both Lytic and Blastic tumors. Currently my blastic tumors are showing signs of forming more dense bones. Most tumors make bones thinner but the ones I am blessed with

My Osteoporosis Journey
I've just realized it may not be so easy for people on the Bone Health forum to find this account which I posted on the PMRGCAuk forum a few months ago. So here it is. This is just copy and paste of an account I wrote to keep track of things for myself. Please note I have no medical training and I
