Anyone taking vercenzio

I was diagnosed with Mbc five years ago. Cancer spread to my bones & 23 lump nodes.I took Arimidex, zometa until it stopped working in nov 2017. Cancer returned to left Breast. Then I developed ascites in my stomach. I took Ibrance , Zeloda & faslodex it didn’t work. Now I am taking vercenzio. I have been on it since oct 3. I have very bad side effects like diarrhea every day 6-7 times, very tired, not Hungary. I was in hospital for 3 days last week due to dehydration. Started a lower dose of vercenzio 150 mg on last Thursday. Diarrhea started on Friday. Is anyone else taking this med? Did it work for you? Any side effects?

Sorry I can’t help you re meds as I have no knowledge of them, I just wanted to say I am sorry you are suffering so much at the moment, what do the doctors say about it? Is there anything that they can give to help the side effects?

Thank you for your reply and prayers. I saw my dr today and I am stoping the vercenzio. Going to start chemo in three days to stop the ascites in my stomach. This is my first time on this website. You are the only person that take the time out of your busy schedule to respond to my post. Thank you again and continue to keep the faith on this journey. Much love to you!

Hopefully the chemo will be easier for you. I have no idea of what you are going through I was surgery radiotherapy and anastrazole still taking. Good luck Ruth xx

Hi Romie

Your cancer and treatments are very complex, I imagine there are not many people who have had similar pathways. Like me, most folk probably feel a bit helpless as they do not have any experience of most of the meds you mention. It sounds very tough and I wish you all the luck in the world. xx Caroline

Thanks for your reply. I am holding on and trying to find another treatment that works for me. My onc is going to start chemo soon. For my stomach ascites. May you continue to be blessed.
