I decided to quit
I have decided today to quit drinking . I am terrified even after normal labs and a normal ultrasound I think I did damage. If a liver shows normal size and no focal lesions I’m assuming that’s good but I think they may have missed something. How can I not have fatty liver??!! I read a story today about

Does anyone take supplements only for UC and IBS-C rather than prescription drugs?
I was diagnosed with UC about 20 years ago and have been in remission for a while but have constipation. I'm prescribed Mezavant XL and docusate sodium, when I remember to take them. I've also been taking slippery elm and psyllium husk more often as prefer to take this in an attempt to keep me regular

5 year old having soiling accidents/withholding
hi, new here so pleased to find this forum. My 5 year old son has been having soiling accidents. He goes to a forest kindergarten so the toilets are not right where he is, and I'm not sure if that has been the problem or something else? He will withhold his poo as his default and thats not always successful

Agitation on vent
What’s some of your all’s personal experience or a loved ones personal experience, with trying to breathe over the vent. They said my dad was coming out of his sedation a little today and then he starts to breath real hard and he gets all agitated and anxious, so then it in turn messes with his oxygen

Prednisone Tapering
I am trying to taper from 2.5 mg Prednisolone and as advised cut 2.5mg in half and added 1 to get 2.25mg. I am tapering very slowly in the hope of getting to zero. I’ve been on 2.25mg for 3 days and today had a bit of headache and a few aches but nothing that I couldn’t tolerate. Found this info

Is infrared therapy helpful for pmr?
I have recently been diagnosed with fairly severe osteoarthritis in my knee and also pmr. Some research suggests infrared therapy is helpful in relieving arthritis pain. Has anyone used it to help pmr pain and stiffness? I am thinking of buying an infrared lamp. Thanks.

Feeling flat
Hey All, I’m writing here as I know your support is amazing and I always feel better after hearing responses! I started running about 3 years ago when my mental health deteriorated. I never thought I would be a runner. I now run 3-4 times a week and do 5k each time. My average is around 35 minutes a

How long after might I have a bowel movement?
Hi, Does anyone know how long after a cleared volvulus (sigmoidoscope and decompression) should I be having a bowel movement? My mom was diagnosed with PA awhile back and has struggled with proctitis for some time. Is there any connection? Anyone else experience this? Did B12 injections help?

How to tell if child is disimpacted?
Hello I would be so grateful for any advice. My 9 year old daughter had an x Ray just over a week ago that showed severe constipation and she has been on four senna a night plus we are now on day 5 of 12 sachets of movicol. Her tummy still hurts and she hasn’t reached the “rusty water” stage yet. Do
