Hi, definitely take them, if you haven’t been taking your prescribed medication, that is why you’re suffering for so long. Can I ask, were you told to stop them?

Hope you feel better soon.

GP. 😊😊

Oh dear! That’s just what they say to everyone. I expect she probably didn’t know what medication you were on.

I’m sorry that now you’re suffering extra pain. Usually you shouldn’t stop your prescribed medication unless your Doctor tells you.

I hope you feel better soon.

Take care.

GP. 😊😊

Oh dear, what does a Nurse know about your health situation? Her job is to get the jabs done in a speedy fashion. There are people waiting! And the meds have to be used quickly.

Maybe worth saying to folks, if you have questions about their fibro and other issues and how this impacts on the Jab, they should talk to their own GP Beforehand; Not at the Jabaroo Jamboree, when the medics are busy and distracted.

I suspect if you stopped your meds for the Jab duration, you are suffering from the side effects you get from suddenly stopping; Poor you. Probably the whole thing has knocked your poor sensitive body off track for a while.

You might like to share with your GP how you got into this mess, and ask how you get back to your normal. It might help them help other Fibros better too.

You can.But also report side effects of the vaccination if it lasts more than a week.

Hi there, I am not sure why you would stopped taking your meds because you had the jab.

If there was going to be any major problems with people on medication and having the vaccine everyone would have been told about it. Also the people trained to give the vaccine would have be told to ask what meds people are on before giving the jab.

Has for been told to take paracetamol in case of arm pain its standard practise.

I cant see any reason for not re starting your mediction 😊

Good Morning everyone and thanks for all your thoughts I’m really appreciate. It feels good to know that someone is there without knowing you and listens to you better than your own GP.

If you have just suddenly stopped taking amiltriptyline, you will get withdrawal symptoms which are very unpleasant. From personal experience severe headaches, nausea and flu type aches and pains on top of any of your usual fibro problems. When the nurse said to take just paracetamol, this was I am sure in respect of any side effects of the jab, and she did not mean for you to stop taking your prescription medications. Talk to your GP or practice nurse if you can to check though.
