GP visit
I have been to see my GP today to talk about the results letter I received which I told you all about. He said it's f4 fibrosis, not cirrhosis, and it is reversible. I'm going to see a fibro nurse next Tuesday, which has been arranged through my drug worker. I'm going to ask all the same questions. I

My story so far-So after my egg retrieval I had to get both tubes removed because of hydrosalpinx. Had to wait for two bleeds before starting FET. Transfer day was yesterday the 29th of March. I had two 5d embryos transferred. Because I'm over 40 the doctor suggested two. I have had backpain since

Partner out of hospital
Thank you to all the replies I've had on previous posts about my partner. He is now out of hospital but on an awful lot of medication including steroids and tablets that suppress alcohol cravings. He has been diagnosed with Alcoholic Hepatitis for the second time in 2 years. I asked the consultant

Pain management
One of the GPs has declined to give me anything stronger than dihydrocodeine which is no longer helping me cope with my pain. I was in excruciating pain the other night the worst it has ever been and dihydrocodeine never helped. I have another appointment with another gp on Monday and I'm scared they

Liver Disease Reversal
Seen in the Daily Mail today British designed dialysis machine can be used on liver patients and appears to reverse the disease doing away with the need for a transplant. It should be available in three years. There isn’t too much information such as what stage of the disease has it been successful

Treating leukocytosis in PV
I was diagnosed with PV in 2015 and I am JAK2 positive. I've been on Jakafi for about six months, and my current dosage of 10 mg/day seems to be doing a good job of controlling my HCT, HGB, and PLT numbers. However, my WBC numbers are consistently high, running at 19-20 K/uL. I understand that the literature

Patient diaries
Can anyone explain why two separate ICU nurses would each write an entry in my husband's ICU Patient Diary - one to say he was dying and one to tell him he was dead? Why would anyone do something so unkind addressing him by name when he had been unconscious for a week and was on a ventilator? Plus
