Confused again, nervous & scared
My heart tripped out tonight (Nov 8) at 9 o'clock while I was relaxing watching the TV. It's still tripping. My Kardia reading says it's steady but fast at 125 bpm, & has been that for the past 3 1/2 hours. My evening meds (Flecainide 150 mg which I take twice a day -- & I take Pradaxa too) did nothing

Surgical scar lumps.
Hi all, It's three months since my heart surgery and while my scar has healed I've noticed three small lumps at the bottom of the cut. They aren't painful but I do worry that they may be infections. Any ideas?

A Lovely Pork Chop
Dear Fellow Foodies, Tonight I had a lovely Pork Chop, one with some Kidney attached😋. I cooked this with, a few, New Potatoes- cooked with the skin on. I also cut a Largish onion into 'rings' and gently fried them, in butter. In addition I made some Gravy, from the meat 'juices'- having removed most

Furosemide side effects
I am suffering severe hearing loss and inflammation of big toe joints. I understand these are known side effects of the diuretic Furosemide. It was prescribed by GP because I have slight heart failure and various heart valve problems and in danger of water collecting round organs, although I have no

Is this sepsis?
I have had this infection looking thing on my finger for a few days, and today I tried to pop it to no success, I sterilized the needle that I used and nothing would come out, Should I be concerned I have also dressed the wound with Neosporin and cleaned it out with soap and water and have put a band

Agonising Calf Pain
I’ve just finished Week 3 Run 3. Slightly dreading week 4 due to the pain I am experiencing in my inner calves. It started about week 2 run 2 and is like an agonising burning sensation. It causes me to woddle home and it’s very uncomfortable. As soon as I get home, I get in a hot bath and use deep heat

Pain relief
My husband was discharged from hospital on Sunday after having bypass surgery and aortic valve replacement. The only pain killer he appears to be sent home with is paracetamol!! What have other people been prescribed after open heart surgery please?

Advice
Hi, I’m new here. Acute heart failure July 2018, many med changes without success, CRT-D fitted Nov 2018. Further med changes since then including changing from Ramipril to Entresto. Still no improvement. Now consultant is discussing heart transplant and I’m scared. Any support or advice very much appreciated

If I can't reach behind my back after surgery, how will I be able to use toilet paper? This is actually very worrisome!
Well, this is embarrassing! But I am scheduled to have open heart surgery on Tuesday so I was reading about it, and it says you can't reach behind your back for a few weeks afterwards. How am I going to use TP after taking a dump then? I'm single and alone so there is nobody I could ask for help with
