ITOLIZUMAB a monoclonal antibody developed by CIM in Cuba and BIOCOM in India is for support of geriatric patients and has now been authorized for clinical trials in the U.S. and some other nations. We can never know where new solutions are developed. The development of the A1c test for blood glucose started with the research of hemoglobin action by a physician in a hospital in Iran. The first heart transplant was pioneered by a South African physician.

ITOLIZUMAB is a CD6 monoclonal antibody, so not that relevant to CLL, but more so to T cell leukaemias. I couldn't find any information on BIOCOM. Could you please share some links? It is indeed encouraging to see other countries coming up with novel treatments, not just competing biosimilars to approved drugs.
