Advice please
I’m currently on holiday so away from my GP Surgery. On 1st July I started having whooshes of the bottom. Despite eating bland food, I am easily having to dash to the toilet at least twice an hour. Tried taking Imodium seems to work for 4 hours then I am back to square one. 😭needless to say all my muscles

A catch up and regroup.
Hello lovely people, I was just recounting and filling in the time I've been away from this site - the absence due to my grandmothers passing - and it was becoming a bit of a novel, recounting the day to day details of the hospital etc so have decided to not post it as it may be triggering for others

Ferritin level information
I have seen numerous claims of “check your ferritin level, if it’s <100 you need to start taking iron.” Unfortunately, it’s just not that simple. That guideline has not been established. I have confirmed this with my RLS physicians. He said ferritin level is only 1 component used along with transferrin

Hello all I have had PMR since May 2020, initially on 15mg pred and tapered down to 4mg by April 2022. Then got Covid and everything went a bit scatty. Returned to 10mg and have been tapering, currently on 7mg moving towards 6.5mg. In the meantime my blood pressure has risen and recent blood tests

Gallstones Newbie here seeking menu ideas 😁
My GP diagnosed gallstones 4 weeks ago after I suffered an attack and referred me for a scan at my local hospital for confirmation. She told me to go to A&E if the attacks get unbearable. I am yet to heard from the hospital with a date for the scan. I'm getting 3 or 4 attacks a week. Shoulder blade

Any experience with Phototherapy / UVB / UVA1 ?
Hi all - my main problem is swollen puffy sore fingers that won't flex - I've experienced this since January when all my fingers (except 1 thumb) swelled up and stayed that way for several months. Through the summer things improved a lot, I get outdoors quite a bit and with a bit of management (compression

Anyone had IgG food intolerance tested and successfully eliminated the offenders?
I know there's questions regarding the accuracy of IgG food testing but I had the test done out of interest because I've been considering going dairy free and/or gluten free. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in Oct 2012 but actually believe my issues were due to poor T4>T3 conversion. I'm waiting to

Does this sound like Fibromyalgia?
Hello all, sorry for the long post but I am doing some health detective work! I have not been diagnosed with anything yet but have been having loads of tests for a weird combination of symptoms that don't add up. Recently the muscle issues have caused me to think this might be something like Fibromyalgia
