Low carb confusion
I'm so confused. My CRP level is high. Looking up CRP, the 'C' stands for carbohydrate. So I presumed cutting down on carbs would be the thing to do to get my CRP level under control. I looked up low carb diets and recipes. Most sites say to avoid bread, pasta & root veg. BHF site says to eat bread,

Effect of thyroid hormones on blood glucose
PART I — I know how thyroid hormones (TH) raise blood glucose. — In liver, TH increases expression of GLUT2 -->increase in both gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis. —In liver, T3 increases gluconeogenesis by increasing activity of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK) —the TH stimulated glycogenolysis

Despite eating low carb and having normal fasting blood glucose in the morning, I been getting these wicked glucose spikes ***12 hours after my dose of T4 / 6 hours after my first dose of T3*** I can't determine which one is causing it yet, but it's been basically the same two days in a row. I take

Far Infrared Heat Mat with Bone Mets
Has anyone used a Far Infrared Heat Mat that is filled with crystals? I have MBC with bone mets in spine. A friend let me use her mat and I found it really soothing and felt great afterwards. I would like to buy one myself but wonder if it would be OK for regular use with the bone mets, I don't want

Questions I should ask my doctor on first visit after diagnosis.
I am obese (5’7”-246lbs) and have begun a
weight
loss
diet
and am hoping to gain more information in better treating my condition. I believe that I have a narrow window of opportunity to halt and hopefully reverse my condition before it progresses any further.

Light Therapy for PD
Greetings to you all. I have a question about light therapy. What is the latest research showing? I’m a little overwhelmed by the number of different devices out there, and particularly the different frequencies that are being recommended… 810, 1070, blue light… etc! Can anybody give me some advice

red light therapy
I am a 75 year old male who was diagnosed with PD in November 2022. I am treating the condition with medication and have recently completed a course in BIG therapy. I have also purchased two red light therapy devices. I would be interested in hearing from others who have used red light therapy to treat

I was recently diagnosed with an underactive thyroid (over 7) in Spain during the process of deivf. I'm from the UK and my GP wanted to repeat the tests and is confirmed thyroid is low and I'm now on medication. Has anyone had a similar experience going through DEIVF? Any successful stories? I'm also

I put on a lot of weight after having no exercise capability for some years and have recently started on a Ketogenic

but I had a one minute instance of AF two days ago and my resting heart rate is up by about 8bpm.
