I’ve been suffering from some achey pains over the last few days - I’m 12dp2dt now (OTD Wednesday) - in the left side of my body under my ribs and down towards my abdomen. No spotting or bleeding.
Im on 600g progesterone suppositories daily and have really struggled with hydration and constipation. I’m also a bariatric surgery patient having had a sleeve in 2020. I had an egg collection 17/10 and had a painful few days afterwards.
At this point I’m trying to discern if this is related to bariatric surgery (it’s in the right location for this however I have never had any issues post surgery) or related to IVF and medications (since that’s the variable at play now).
Tbh the progesterone and stims have played havoc with my digestion and I’ve never been so constipated (for a bariatric patient to say that is really quite the statement 😂🙈). However I don’t think it’s wind, I’ve had that plenty over the last month 🙄 but this is persistent and localised.
This is my first IVF round and I’m such a newbie to all of these sensations and processes, I’m just trying to discern which of my doctors I should be mentioning these symptoms to (both I guess 🤷🏻♀️😬).
thanks!

If you think it is trapped wind have you tried gently rocking from side-to-side while lying down with your knees drawn up? But with your history of surgery maybe you should also let your clinic know for further advice.
Probably you should speak to your doctors about your pain just to rule out a possible problem. All I wanted to say is that during my 2ww and after that I also felt stabbing pain in one side (really cannot remember exactly which side) and I was afraid of ectopic pregnancy as I transferred 2 embryos. In the end everything was fine so actually was a good sign of a progressing embryos, hope is the same for you. Good luck 🤞
thank you yes I’ve been thinking about that as a possibility, I transferred two aswell. I’m feeling a bit better today so we shall see how it goes but that’s reassuring to know things went well for you, thank you (and congratulations!)
