Anti inflammatories and Corvid
A neighbour who works for the nhs has just been sent a medical alert that they must not prescribe anti inflammatories for anyone with the virus as it makes the illness worse, especially in younger people. The exact post said "We have just been sent a medical alert that no one is to use anti inflammatories

Went to see a chiropractor
All I can say is this is the best thing I have ever done! My back pain has left me in bed for over a week ( I’m sure you’ve seen my other post) and I have suffered since I was 14/15 and I’m now 31! Iv had so many tests including and mri which showed no damage but the neurosurgeon said my pain was down

Helter-Skelters. The real and the metaphorical.
Once you’ve finished swit-swooing at my rather handsome legs, please take a moment to admire and appreciate…new socks! These are L-XL, gawd knows who fits into the S-M? People with hooves, I guess. They’re almost harder to squeeze into than the base layers. Friday night I was off out Week 2-ing and

Back in hospital -physically & emotionally drained. Surgery or persevere with injections?
So I’m writing this post from my hospital bed feeling like I’ve reached breaking point. It’s my 3rd time in hospital in 3 weeks due to the pain from severe endometriosis & chocolate cyst. Started hormone injections & HRT 3 weeks ago Each time they’ve tried different pain relief which works temporarily

Desperate for pain relief.
To briefly explain I have just been diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis I have a chocolate cyst & have been suffering excruciating pain in my right pelvis for over 3 months. The good news is that I’ve finally found night time pain relief which allows me to sleep through. I was prescribed voltarol

Does a Malar Rash, muscle pain & tiredness make Lupus???
Hi, I have a rash - a VERY itchy, painful, raw, stinging, burning rash. I've got it above my right eye (inner side) under it and - without any visible signs - on my cheekbones and under my chin and on my collar bone. I am concerned that though this rash FEELS like Rosacea it is actually Lupus. And although

Stress & flare up
Good morning, as we are going through a particularly stressful house move, I find this morning that both my hands & wrists, while always being painful are absolute purgatory this morning. Both are “bandaged up” soaked in voltarol gel & I took a naproxen last night. This morning I took a prednisolone

Back pain
Hi guys I've been experiencing back pain in my lower back, tailbone area. If I sit or lie down I really struggle to get back up without being in agony. It feels like my tailbone is pressing upwards on my spine and it starts to feel like its going to crack if I try stand up. All I did was sneeze a few

HM training plan on track...
Why the pretty lamb? I couldn’t resist after knocking out a PB and the lovely Wimpole Park run, when I felt I was doing a recovery pace. 3 weeks to go until the flaming half marathon (Histon) on 2nd June. Unlike my previous (and 1st) HM in March, my training plan seems to be working and isn’t making

Being sick with cramps
Morning! I just wanted some advice really, all of last night and this morning I’ve had such horrendous period cramps that I’ve been throwing up constantly as well as having diarrhoea (mmm nice)... I’m okay once I get some codeine in me but I’m having trouble keeping it down long enough for it to work

Juicing for pain relief .
Hi all. I am allergic to strong painkillers and my pain levels with the osteo arthritis and fibromyalgia are sometimes quite bad. I use voltarol ( the 12 hour one ) but it doesnt really do much to help. So my son got me a nutri ninja juicer and for the past few years i have been juicing and find that

Treatment options -pros and cons
Hi everyone. Sorry I’ve not been on much again lately - it feels like I’m only ever here asking for help rather than giving it but unfortunately life just seems to keep getting in the way and I just run out of energy I’m afraid. Sooo - apologies in advance as this is a long one. I had an appointment

It goes up and down like a roller coaster
My first experience of C25K was horrible, as I hardly completed the first run... Somehow I managed to survive the full force of week 1, I felt extremely elated... I was always nervous about progressing, as I just about managed the 60 seconds of running.... BUT OH MY GOD... guys! I felt like I nearly
