CT GUIDED NERVE ROOT INJECTION

I have had back problems for several years and after xrays and scans have recently diagnosed with 2 bulging discs, spurs and age related problems causing me pain and mobility problems. In February I had an appointment for CT Guided root injection lumbar to be reviewed in due course. I have found no immediate relief from pain and my mobility seems to be worse. I have Voltarol SR for joint pain relief x 2 daily and paracetamol as and when needed. I find that I have pain breakthrough, has anyone else had same problem and can recommend pain relief. I have a telephone appt with consultant at end of this month to report any ongoing symptoms. I have tried a course of acupuncture in the past and physio.

Would welcome advice please, Thankyou.

Hi I also suffer with my back, i have prolapsed discs, nerve damage, sciatica and my spine is out of place at the bottom, my doctor prescribed me with Ketoprofen, I apply it 3 times a day, some days I only need the gel, but on my bad days I have to have Cuprofen Maximum Strength painkillers from boots, I feel they work for me.

Thank you very much foe your reply and help, do you know if the GP can prescribe this medication, because of my age I can get free prescriptions. It will be worth a try, thank you once again.

Yes the doctor will prescribe the gel, but the cuprophen I get from boots are about £10 for 98 tablets, they are so worth it though.

Hi again, I have looked this up online and note that I have to be careful with some medication because I had a "bleed" taking Ibuprofen and naproxen and I think the medication you take may not be suitable for me, however, thank you for your help and I will check with my GP.
