Hi all! It's been awhile since I posted anything. I've been doing about 5 injections of methylcobalamin a week, for several years now. I take a food based multi with 800 mcg of folate, pretty much just on the days I inject. My naturopath doctor prescribed methyl folate. I took a1000mcg dose and

Advice following GP visit please
Hi, I posted a few days ago asking for advice after having had results back from blood tests and struggling to see my GP. Well, I finally saw her today. She was sympathetic, and has referred my results to an endocrinologist for guidance. I wanted to get some thoughts on something she did say, bearing

EPIGENETICS: You Can Change the Way your Genes Are Expressed. You're Not Stuck with Your Restless Legs
Hi everyone I was discussing the new science of EPIGENETICS the other day with few people. I've compiled some information for anyone that's interested.

Don't panic
Don't panic. Read books. Start with Learn the Facts about Kidney Disease by Steven Rosansky, MD. He thoroughly covers it in all stages. Although you need to make changes in your life, preserve your remaining kidney function, you're not going to die next week and probably never end up on dialysis. Don't

Cyanocobalamin
Hi, I have just been informed by my GP surgery that Cyanocobalamin injections, which I have 4 weekly, have been discontinued in England. I am allergic to hydroxycobalamin so cannot have that. I know Cyanocobalamin is still available in Europe but my GP can only use what is available to them in England

Guess what? Your body has changed and will never be the same.
I recently read a post from a guy that stated he had muscle and stamina loss. The post and responses then went on in a very hand wringing way to ask and discuss things like, “should I eat whey”, “what about protein and in what form”, “I never eat or drink dairy products”. It then went on to lament all

I am about to go to the doctors in an hour to speak about some blood tests I had done last week. To me the results are on the higher side. From what I’m reading most doctors don’t like to do antibody tests and t3 and t4. How can I persuade them to do these just to check my levels? I had lots of other

Success with GP - for now
Just had an appointment with my GP and after lots of persuasion and me quoting NICE guidelines at him, he's agreed to reinstate my previous daily 100mcg Levo. 🥳This does come with the condition of reassessing in 6-8 weeks after bloods done. (I'll cross that bridge when I get there) I got the usual

Muscle Cramps?
I'm following Elliott Overton's B1 therapy and am on week 4 of his protocol using various forms of thiamine totaling 1500 mg a day. I'm noticing improvement in Parkinsons symptoms but have developed very sore and cramping calf muscles for the past couple of days. Since I haven't increased physical activity

Biotin in Vitamin B complex supplements
HiI've been talking a vitamin B complex for years, only to realise Biotin affects thyroid bloodworks, I can't believe I never knew! My questions is, do I continue with the complex or just some specific B vitamins? Or just stop taking them, when my thyroid bloods are due? Does Biotin affect all the blood

Fertility supplements for men
Hi guys, What supplements are your partners on? Mine takes no vitamins or supplements, and hasn't our entire ttc journey. We can conceive okay but never make it past 5/6 weeks so I thought it was best to look at getting him something to give us the best chance in the best quality sperm as well as my

Nd Thyroid to thyroxine
Hi, I have Hashimoto's thyroid and Endoctrinologist has advised I move from NP thyroid to thyroxine. I was sent for Ultra sound by my doctor and had difficulty getting a follow up as he was on holidays for 2 months. I had to get online doc to refer me and only had report of ultrasound so not the scan

Muscle Damage
Hi all. I’m wondering if any of you have experienced muscle damage from self-injecting, and if so how did you know? How long did it take to heal? The last couple of months or so, it seems like I’m having an increasingly difficult time injecting my thighs. The injection itself seems to go really well

anybody had these tests before?
Hi Everyone Long time, no post so I apologise. Since I last spoke to anyone I have been diagnosed with Osteoperosis, so fighting a number of demons. My Rheumatologist has been concerned about my ever decreasing levels of calcium despite eating calcium rich food and doubling my prescribed Calcium supplements

Suppliments and blood sugar
Does b complex cause a high a1c because of the b12? Any other vitamins to avoid with high blood sugar would be appreciated.
