What supplements are your partners on? Mine takes no vitamins or supplements, and hasn't our entire ttc journey. We can conceive okay but never make it past 5/6 weeks so I thought it was best to look at getting him something to give us the best chance in the best quality sperm as well as my eggies.
Generally boyf has good sperm levels, though we are about to do DNA fragmentation just to check those levels too.
I'm supplemented up to the eyeballs lol but no idea where to start with him. I've heard things about Impryl but is that really just for men with bad sperm quantity/quality or bad DNA frag, or can you just take them like normal supplements just to boost him up?
Any advice would be massively appreciated.

my consultant recommended proxeed but my husband bought proceive plus (from boots ) . He got the band mixed up by accident but seems pretty good too .
His sperm is normal but we are now considering dna fragmentation testing too just to be sure . Although I’m skeptical about it but don’t want to leave any stone unturned now before we start next cycle x
Oh bless him, to be fair they sound sooo similar! I used to take proceive myself actually but moved to Ovum.
Yeah I'd rather know, as i've heard a lot of stories of men having okay sperm levels but the DNA frag being off which could be causing all the issues in the first place! We always just go straight to the woman re: issues but DNA frag can be a big part of it too. I just ordered a postal DNA fragmentation test which I felt was the best value for money (I can PM you if you wanna know which one!) x
hello, all the best with your journey. I have a different story in that my husband has a low sperm count but he has been able to increase it from 1m to 12m with giving up alcohol, a Mediterranean diet and a lot of supplements.
The supplements he has been on are; omega 3 / probiotics/ impryl / punalpin plus / proceed plus. Just as a warning though it’s expensive! Circa £300 a month.
It might be worth speaking to a fertility nutritionist as the one we used made a huge difference and they made the decision on which supplements we should take based on our previous results.
Thanks Poppygarden! Oh wow that's a lot and v expensive!! But some fab results so worth it I'm sure I've heard the med diet is also really good so we might give that a go.
I've been tempted by a fertility nutritionist but I know they can be pricey and it just feels like they try to force a load more pricey vitamins on you. Will see how we go on just one thing for him then can always see a nutritionist if needed further down the line xx
give him proxeed men and you take proxeed women with orange juice. You can also add omaga 3 and vitamin D and E. coQ10 200mg is Alo good with heavy breakfast.
Standard one is better as in plus lots of things missing. Plus is old and new is proxeed men. Order proxeed men improved formula. We have been using around 6 months amazing product. My husband take one in morning and one in evening with orange juice.
Do you know if it's okay to take if you don't have male factor issues? Technically right now we don't but we've yet to do DNA fragmentation so we would 100% take it if that came back with problems.
everyone can take it. It Boost sperm and egg health obviously if you having miscarriages many times there is issue. In egg or sperm so you can take. As my clinic told me DNA fragmentation doesn’t worth because if you even have DNA Fragmentation the treatment is same giving you these sort of supplements. So better try three four months this thing and let’s see. You take as well proxeed women and omaga 3 as well
Yeah that's what I thought. I've ordered a DNA fragmentation test as i'm a control freak lol so I'd rather know how bad or not bad it is before taking the supplements. It's a pricey investment but right for us!
