Need your advice, pls, what should I take and how?
Hey all, I've been on a bit of a journey, unwell for the past few years, diagnosed 2012, did awesome on thyroid meds until...I didn't. Since I have now all cofactors optimal (vit D, B12, folate, iron, ferritin - after iron IV, magnesium), I feel my problem either stems from cortisol issues or balance

Stuck. Help Plz.
Hi, thanks for all the info here. I’ve been reading for hours, think I’ve tried to absorb too much too quickly as my brain feels like it’s going to pop! I’ve been feeling nauseous with low pain headaches for a month so had a GP apt last week. Bloods were done and all appears normal apart from thyroid

Hypothesis II
My hypothesis is that the antibody that attacks the intrinsic factor and or parietal cell may also bind to B12 rendering it unusable at the cellular level. That the production of the antibody with regards to amount is unknown and different at different times for the individual and different for each

New level of 115 before entitled to B12 inj
My sons B12 reading last year was 163. Last week is 139.Now been told new guidance from NorthTyneside is under 115 before being entitled to injections. I am furious, upset and so concerned for him. How can they move the goal posts like this. 54 years old and dismissed like this. Do they want patients

Pharmacy out of stock?
I just got prescribed Ritalin 💊—10mg tablets for a month. The prescription was sent to CVS Pharmacy. I waited two days with no phone call, so I called in and they said they were out of stock. I’ve heard of people waiting a month to get their medicine, and I don't want to be that guy 🤷♂️ Do you have

Firstly I have it myself and due well on regular injections, however it is very poorly diagnosed and managed in this country, patients popped onto pills when they should be having jabs. 1. https://pernicious-anaemia-society.org/articles/nice-cks-b12-deficiency/#:~:text=Initially%20administer%20hydroxocobalamin

Could it be B12 deficiency?
I have been guided to this forum from Thyroid Uk and I’m hoping that, with your help, I can make sense of the fatigue and weakness I have been experiencing. In October last year I experienced what I can only describe as a crash. I am normally fit and active and had a lovely summer with many trips camping

Fibromyalgia or Hypothyroidism?
A friend has recently been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I have read a lot about that condition being diagnosed when the patient actually has hypothyroidism. Is there a way to rule out Hashi's? I know that an antibody test won't be conclusive unless they are high, because I (and many others) have

Update following long-awaited GP appointment for results of Thyroid blood test
Following my last post, I have finally had my GP appointment. I thought it was solely to discuss my annual Thyroid blood test but it seems they had also tested for cholesterol. Had a long lecture about high LDL and the risk. I explained that I couldn't really do any more to improve it as I already

Advice on non-medication treatment of RLS required
I'm afraid I haven't posted for a long time! I am 74 and my symptoms have become more severe, causing real loss of sleep. A neurologist I saw recently wanted to put me on dopamine-agonist patches which I refused, tho' I am following her recommended course of B12 injections. I've had 9 of the 12 jabs

Advice about recent NDT thyroid blood tests and high SHBG
Hi there! Is there any connection between high SHBG and taking NDT thyroid medication? I've been feeling better than ever on my Erfa thyroid medication and I don't feel over medicated at all, but I had high SHBG. My estradiol also seems high. I've read that one reason for high SHBG can be hyperthyroidism

Advice on referred blood tests
As per my recent post, a GP (not my usual) is on the band wagon to reduce my levothyroxine due to a suppressed TSH. This became suppressed a few years ago when I tried T3, although I've always been towards the top of range (until now it seems) and it made no difference, so I stopped it. My usual GP

Hi allI have been feeling ropey,v lethargic and a bit slow for a few months now, despite increase in Levothyroxine.
