hEDS and B12 comorbidity?
Possibly a bit of a long shot but does anyone here also have a diagnosis of hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and/or joint problems related to hypermobility as well as PA? I recently saw a rheumatologist and whilst we’re waiting on test results to rule out other autoimmune diseases, I think she was

Monitor My Health iron test - lack of ranges
I spent a bit more money on my MMH test this year as I’ve never had an iron panel done but have always had low iron indicators on a full blood test. I didn’t get complete results as ferritin failed (posting the kit back took 48 hours when it was tracked to take 24) but the results I did get, I can’

Methylfolate dose for B12 injections
Whilst high dose folic acid is definitely helping me utilise my EOD injections, I think it’s also progressively not agreeing with me so I am going to try methylfolate. However, there seems no information on the recommended dose for supporting injections. Is anyone else on it, and how much do you take

Heart Arrhythmia
Hello All. I've posted in the past and remember that some have said that I could increase my dose of T3 to perhaps alleviate the arrhythmia I have been experiencing for many years. I take 75 MCG LEVO (for 35+ years with varying dosages) and 5 MCG Lio each morning. Any comments at this time would be greatly

Though not directly associated with PD, PWPs take a lot of drugs and supplements, which may affect the Liver. From that perspective, posting a rat study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9045995/ Combination Treatment of Omega-3 Fatty Acids and Vitamin C Exhibited Promising Therapeutic

Crash after jab from different source?
I'm wondering if anyone has had issues with getting a jab from a different source. My husband normally does my jab (Pascoe 1500 hydroxo, was every 10 days but have recently gone to weekly). He was out of town so I had it done at my GP's office -- the nurse was a real snot about it because my levels (

sons bloods
my 17 year old son has been very depressed, anxious and suicidal. He has vitiligo Here are his blood results. B12 =226 (201-914) folate =7 ( 3-20) TSH 2.73 ( 0.38-5.53) T4 10.4 ( 7.90-14.40). He probably has undiagnosed autism and has been diagnosed with dyspraxia. He has been struggling with recall

Preventative Medicine
UK paid £160 per patient for GP care 2022 That is no different really to many other countries So where is the problem Aside form al that Lets say a patient comes in with 40 to 50% of B12D symptoms. . .. . Dont do a blood test . . . . . Save at least £30 with that but give them a B12 jab

iron and b12 test results
How am I doing with iron and b12? i posted before about my thyroid results and have reduced my Levo a tiny amount pending testing again in a few weeks time I now have the rest of my results (minus ferritin and folate ) from MMH. I can see that my iron and b12 are not dire but neither are they optimal

High Folate with PA terrible GP
The reason that I requested all this blood work is because I've been in terrible abdominal pain about 6 days and I thought perhaps I had an infection, perhaps my
D3
was low? maybe I had a B
vitamin
issue other than the B12, maybe folate? I just needed to know where I stood.

Still having symptoms of hypothyroidism despite medication - any advice?
I wondered if anyone could please share their thoughts on my situation. I was diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism around 8 years ago, but didn’t have any symptoms (apart from some fatigue). Then, after contracting COVID in 2020, I began to have symptoms like 30-35lb weight gain (unexplained),

Gluten free diet
Hi all, hope you’re not suffering too much today. Just wanted to bring to your attention an article I was reading today about gluten, which you can find on google. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-celiac_gluten_sensitivity I’ve recently been trialing a gluten free diet, which has helped me considerably

Preparing for GP appt
Hello I have a GP appointment in a few weeks to discuss blood tests results and symptoms (tiredness, weight gain, low mood, pins and needles). Based on what I've read on this forum, it sounds like these symptoms and results could be indicative of hypothyroid, but because TSH is within range I'm unlikely

Taking Vitamin C
This might seem a daft question but I need to increase my iron & read I should take it with 100mg of VitC. How do I take 100mg of VitC? All the tablets are 1000mg. The average tangerine is 50mg & not what I’d choose to eat at night. Do I buy a VitC powder?

Tardive dyskinesia. Been on the causative med quetiapine 400 mg for 20 years.Unable to get off it. Been creative. I am a registered nurse.
I am an inpatient acute mental health nurse actually - for the last 15 years. I also have Bipolar disorder on lithium. Very well controlled. But side effects of quetiapine were becoming impossible to live with. I tried aripiprazole and a reduction in quetiapine to a disastrous effect. I appeared severely

I've been thinking a lot about people's misdiagnoses........
We talk a lot about the vast number of people who have been misdiagnosed, who went on to self treat, and subsequently improved their health, and their quality of life. But what about those who have received a diagnosis, and accepted it?? My GP at the time of my B12 crash wanted to diagnose me with Fibromyalgia
