Active B12 level medichecks
Hi this is my first time posting 😀 I did an advanced thyroid test with medichecks last week for general tiredness etc. my active b12 level has come back as 41.4 (range 37.5- 188). Vitamin D 80.2 (range 50-250). (This is probably thanks to a sunny holiday to Gran Canaria a month ago 😂). They couldn

How much folic acid while on ED injections?
I inject b12 daily or at least every other day for over two years now. I'm lots better by now but have still slight polyneuropathy left. During this time I've experimented with different dosages of folic acid (as well as with methyl folate and folinic acid) but I'm still not sure what works best for

methylfolate. Worried about my vitamins! Folic acid
I was taking pregnacare for three months before my first cycle of ivf but realised (especially after reading it starts with the egg) that the supplements are not sufficient for someone undergoing ivf or over 40 trying to conceive. I started taking a b12 supplement containing folic acid but realised

Blue Horizon Thyroid Premium Gold test results
Hi, I'm fairly new to this site & this is the first time I've posted. I had recurrent non-malignant cysts on my thyroid with no other apparent symptoms in around 2006. Initially the cysts were drained using needle aspiration. (At this time, one of the sonographers who was performing the needle aspiration

First time posting here with questions
Hello, I was wondering how to tell if you need b12 injections when you take oral b12 and your serum b12 always comes out looking great? I haven't had it tested recently but past tests always come out way over the range. Anyway, I saw a post by @Marz in which she said that she takes b12 due to having

I was back on levothyroxine for eight months too long.
I haven't been active much lately. My elderly parents were both in different hospitals and working as well; it left me no time to find a new thyroid Dr.. My dad passed away at 90 years young, and Mum is sad but doing better. I ended up back on levothyroxine for eight months as I was as busy as a one-legged

Hi - I've got my 3rd lot of results from Medichecks since March which I will take to appointment with private Endo. Test taken fasting with no meds beforehand and at 8:55am I'm pleased with levels of folate, B12 and Vit D which I've worked on. Ferritin has gone down though. The T3 is low of course

still confused about my iron results
I’ve now redone my iron panel with medichecks and have similar results to last time. I can’t work out why my ferritin continues to drop. And what I can do about it as I know I need higher ferritin levels for optimum thyroid hormone function. …………………………… Ferritin……….Iron……….. Trans. Sat………..TIBC……….
