DX 5 years on Dec 26th. What Iāve learned about my PD. Please Read! It might be helpful.
PD is very common in my family. My dad and his dad had it. I have almost no hope they will ever cure it because itās so complex. Here is what caused my Parkinsonās. (IMO) 1.Genetics. This is something you cannot change. I know my genes have issues with clearing out toxins? PD is a man made disease

Blood Test Results
Would someone please be able to tell me what these blood test results mean please? I did add them on to a previous thread but I don't think they were showing up. I was told by my GP back in July that my TSH levels were low . I admitted that I did sometimes forget to take Levo so she wanted me to go

Suppression of TSH but low T4/T3 levels whilst taking Levo/Lio Combo
A few years ago, my thyroid results were looking a lot better but NHS GP over the last 2 years has told me to reduce my dosage twice (because of the 'risks' of overtreatment). I'm now on 100mcg levothyroxine (75mcg supplied by GP and topped up by myself) and 25mcg liothyronine (self-sourced). I now don't

Bit confused and overwhelmed
Hello, Thanks for being there! Recently given advice from GP to start B12 tablets over the counter but told I may need injections in 3 months time after being retested. Beyond exhausted and struggling to go to work, rest of my life on pause for now. After 2 weeks went back and now started on loading

Referred to private Endo - London; advice and recommendations please
Hi all, I have just been referred by the GP to an Endo. I was hoping that someone could privately DM me with recommendations for private endos in central London. I am also wondering whether I could be suffering from Hashimotos hyperthyroid flare ups: To recap; I have hashimotos, and had a hemithyroidectomy

Negative PA Test - way forward
I had a low Vitamin B12 (125 mg/L) and low folate. One of my symptoms was severe pins and needles - particularly my legs, feet and genital areas. I had 4 loading doses of b12, followed by a further 2 at my request. I started folate tablets after 2 jabs. I had a IF test which came back negative. Shows

Stomach acid
hi again, Havenāt been diagnosed yet as I am waiting to get bloods off next week. I had posted here last week re my May results. My question is, would thyroid treatment (if needed) increase my very low stomach acid? I have had in past been treated for folate, b12 and iron, which I still take but

B Complex comparison
Edit April 2024 - removed the HCl versions of B6 to a list at the bottom and added the request for the weaker Well Actually liquid brand. [Old post] Morning all, I am due to order B Complex again and was searching for alternatives to Thorne which suits me, but you know, always looking for alternatives

Riboflavin (b2) supplementation is a no-brainer for Parkinsons
Riboflavin (b2) is a complete no-brainer. 0 side effects and dirt cheap. Especially if your second and third toes any toenails are full of fungus/athletes foot. The Chinese believe that your second and third toe is a place where toxins leave the body. The Chinese believe PD is āstuckā in fight or

Fasciculations in both legs
Hi, Have been on T3 mono 40mcg per day (45 in winter) split into 3 doses since 2011. Have had no problems only benefits. Started with muscle twitching, fasciculations in both legs around a month ago. GP carried out a multitude of blood tests. Of course my TSH is suppressed at 0.04, free T3 is 4.3 range
