ALS and B12
I ran across an article that was interesting, if for no other reason, for its quite detailed description of
B12
deficiency. Scroll down to the heading, "

How to wean off omeprazole
I’ve just had some blood tests done prior to some surgery and the results show there may be a problem with
vitamin
B12
levels. Hmm, I take 20mg omeprazole daily, in capsule form. Anyone any idea of the best way to come off this? I believe I’ll have to gradually wean off it?

Vitamin/mineral deficiencies
I had a

Supplementing Vitamin B12
Back in May / June, my B12 was tested and was double the top of range at 1800 n/mol. GP told me to stop supplementing for the time being. I was surprised that it was this high after only as I’d only been supplementing since January having been quite low at 500. Taking one a day Thorne’s Stress formula

Vit B12 deficient again after being taken off injections two years ago.
He eats meat usually but has gone off it lately and we supplement with Holland and Barrett’s

spray. Last year he asked for a

test and was refused. He has repeatedly asked since and they have refused saying he doesn’t have any symptoms!

Customs duty on methylcobalamin
Not really sure exactly what I'm looking for but I had a look on the Customs website and found a code for
vitamin
b12
& derivatives - 2936 260000 . I looked it up for 'transactions between EU & UK' and the chart shows 'duty rate 0%'.

Medichecks new instructions?
Do not take
vitamin

for two weeks prior to this test. If your B12 is prescribed ask your doctor whether to stop. Is it really necessary to stop B12 for two weeks?
