Au/ml help
The range for intrinsic factor test result is any result below 1.21u/ml (negative )and above 1.53u/ml (positive). I was informed my result was 1.63. Yes, no measurements of u/ml. When I asked for B12 injections (local GP Wales) as I believed I'd proved I was deficient by these tests coming back high

How often to Self Inject
Hello all. I was just wondering what you all think about how often we should inject with Vit B12. I had been taking shots since about last Dec of 22, but even though it helped, didn't help much. So after finally being diagnosed with PA, I told my wife to inject me every day for 30 days to sort of give

Waiting for laperoscopy
Hi everyone :) I am just wondering if anyone has had similar experiences. I had heavy bleeding and pain during my periods, pain and bleeding during and after sex, painful bowel movements during my period. At one time I went travelling and asked if I could take my pill packets together and was told

(update) B12, Peripheral Neuropathy, oh and Ozempic...
A few months back I seemed to be 'overdosing' on the B12 injections (I was peeing it straight back out at one point!), so I stopped injecting and things were going okay. But now the past few weeks I'm back to low/no energy, bumping into things, knocking things over, Brain Fog, and incontinence struck

Severe RLS Where do I go now?
Hi! I've been lurking reading your posts for a couple of years. I live in Sweden and am a 58 yo female and have severe burning RLS without PLMD. Here's a condensed version of my story: July 2011 Laminectomy C4-C5. no real slide effects except nerve pain in right index finger which I've learned to block

Intrinsic factor antibodys
Hi I recently had bloods done at GP which one of them was b12. It came back as no action required but I told GP that I think it still to low at 211.. range (180-800) she said about doing another test that might effect the absorbtion of b12 intrinsic factor antibody. My result was 3.66. was prescribed

My Mucusy
Someone on this forum used this term and I found it helpful. I know what that experience means to me in that I know when I am mucusy. I have had this experience my whole life. It happens when my body is stressed both eustress and stress. I have noticed it in others. I can often tell that a person is

Going To Self Inject -Questions
Hi, Iāve had 4 inputs over several months from GPās and consultants with hope being built up then crashed. I am on 3 monthly jabs, as with so many others, is no where near enough. Iāve had the loading doses which returned me to normal functioning half way through 2nd week. Took bloods after last jab

Do people on here have hypothyroidism or CFS?
I recovered from ME/CFS a while ago although I did have one period where I had myclonic jerks at night along with fatigue which seemed to go away when I took B12 supplements even though my B12 was in the low normal range (350 or somehting like that it was and the low range was 190). ANyway, I am wondering

Does PA count as a disability?
I have PA and have a diagnosis by a doctor of such. It manifests itself through physical and mental health conditions. For me, I have hearing loss (I am not deaf but, for example, struggle using the phone. I am not sure if this is caused by PA), difficulties walking (although I can walk slowly and

Best time for a blood test?
Hi all, I've ordered a comprehensive blood test from Medichecks, as I've been working on my ferritin levels amongst other things. (Obviously, I'll be ignoring the inevitable out of range B12 result! š) Problem is, I had a mild tummy bug 3 days ago. My bloods appointment is for a week after this,

Vitamin B12 deficiency
Recently started on B12 injections due to B12 deficiency. Hoping will boost my energy and relieve some of the symptoms. Lots of similarities with this to heart symptoms. Wondering how many heart patients are potentially B12 deficient that could have some benefit from treatment for this which in conjunction

Grandmother, 88 being denied B12 injections
This group has always been very supportive, particularly when I began my B12 deficiency ordeal. I was hoping I could get some advice on a very specific issue I am having with my maternal grandmother, who has had Pernicious Anaemia for as long as I can remember and likely where I inherited mine from.

Higher CSF/serum free-T4 ratio is associated with improvement of quality of life during treatment with L-thyroxine
An interesting paper. Note a parallel with Pernicious Anaemia/B12 deficiency in which some have low CSF B12 while having high serum B12. Asking the question, though the answer is almost certan, has anyone ever had their CSF thryoid hormone levels tested? On Twitter: [i]Johannes W. Dietrich @drjwdietrich
