Borderline B12 Deficiency

Hi, I have been diagnosed with Borderline Vit B12 Deficiency and am wondering if long term Pred could have caused itHad PMR from 2014 for six years, it is back again and have been on Pred since August 2023

I would value your opinions.

do you take a PPI to protect your stomach from pred? PPIs are said to cause low vitamin B12 and so does Metformin.

Yes I do. They have been giving them to me for years for a Hiatus Hernia.

Do you think it is your PPI?

A PPI would be a more likely culprit.
