A few new ideas in pipe line
According to news from my local paper live its been suggested that we do not need to shower daily by dermatologists which I am sure will please the local waterboard and those struggling with bill finances and most definitely for those of us who find this task exhausting due to health reasons.

Irritability on levo dose increase?
Hello all, I'm about 4 weeks in to a dose increase of levo from 100 to 125mcg. I'm familiar with a surge in 'wired and frantic' energy when I've reached about the 3 week point on a new higher dose in the past. And I had that a few days ago. It had settled. However today I've been increasingly irritable

Hrt yes or no
Hello....before my iron infusion a random gp suggested I take hrt ????I haven't presented with menopausal symptoms and still have regular cycles . I'm aware SOME women have rls during this transition but I'm also aware HRT is a stimulant and can cause a spike . As we already struggle surely hrt will

Requip and Collagen
I have been taking Requip for several years and started taking Collagen last year as I had come off HRTand my hair and nails were in a terrible condition. I seem to remember seeing that taking both was not advised, is that correct? I have gone back on HRT but it has not made any difference.

drenching sweats
I was made stop my hormone patches 3 months ago. About 3 weeks after stopping I began having all over body drenching sweats, I have to change my clothes and bedding sometimes and they make me very nauseated. These don't happen just at night but during the day as well...I'm nearly 24/7 in a sweat. Has

lactose intolerance and vaginal oestrogen Vagirux?
Hi I’m awaiting a genetics decision on whether I can try HRT (again). Long story. In the meantime the most uncomfortable symptom is vaginal dryness. So my GP menopause specialist has prescribed Vagirux. I’m lactose intolerant, tried 1 tablet last night and was fine first thing this morning. I have

Hormone Replacement for Surgical Menopause
Hi dear ladies, have any of you used HRT to cope with the horrors of surgical menopause resulting from OC treatment, if that diagnosis happened to you prior to natural menopause? I find that there’s no discussion or warning about the effects of surgical menopause prior to treatment and that no one seems

HRT question
Sorry, I know it's technically off-topic but I also know there is a lot of knowledge on this board! I've been prescribed HRT; estrogen patches & progesterone tablets. When should I start wearing the patches? I'm on day 13 but cycles are somewhat irregular...

some weeks ago I commented on a thread regarding waiting times for hip replacement and the common offer these days of hip guided injection. I’d just like to say after two years of waiting I finally got my hip replacement about 10 days ago. Now the hard work to recovery starts! Apparently the joint

HRT / zolodex / hormone treatment help
Hi all. I posted recently about my concerns regarding zolodex etc. I think my only next steps is a complete hysterectomy due to my issues. HOWEVER. That being said, everyone seems to manage better withHRT and I'm looking to speak with people who have never been able to tolerate any form of hormone treatment

Does HRT estrogen patch and progesterone pill cause weight gain?
So now my big question is does HRT cause weight gain? See now my doctor changed her mind and she is going to let me do the estrogen patch and take the progesterone pill. But I am terrified because I've never been on hormone replacement therapy and I am a person who has had anorexia for over 25 years

Study to help patients manage their underactive thyroid
Just saw this and thought both that it is interesting it is being done. And, secondly, wondered if any would be willing to take part. I've scan read the information about the study and it appears that there is no geographical limit (please reply to let me know if I am wrong!) - just that you need to

Persistent AF, Diltiazem, side effects or Menopause??
I apologise in advance for what will be quite a lengthy post.... :( I was diagnosed with persistent a year ago Oct 22, but likely I had it unknowingly for about 2 years prior and put breathlessness and tiredness to work/being unfit. I am 57. During that 12 months I was on Bisoprolol for 9 months and

Is feeling hot in face 24/7 a menopause symptom/ low estrogen symptom? Will it go away with HRT(estrogen patch)?
Does anyone feel hot in your face all the time? Not only am I having hot flashes but I am feeling hot in my face ALL f the time with no end. I went to my gynecologist and she said that it is because I have no estrogen due to lack of periods for 20 years of anorexia. She is suggesting the HRT estrogen
