I love these weekday mornings when I have taken a Friday annual leave day, hubby off volunteering to the vaccination centre, and I go for a morning run, knowing I don’t have to rush getting into work.
Weather was deliciously drizzly, the fog matched the white hawthorn blossoms on the side of my path and the few dog walkers out and about were ultra friendly.
Gloves came off a third way through, decision for two tops, cap and buff was good, and a first for me was that I decided to listen to a podcast, rather than music (I really need to wean myself off that comfort blanket of that perfect beat).
Runkeeper praised my fastest 3-5k tour speed, but I’m pretty sure she’s wrong. Nevertheless pleased with the speed, it’s certainly in the top third of my runs.
Back home, 2 big glasses of water, stretches and then hit the gorgeously hot shower. Topping it all with a comfy, homely, living room 23 min Yoga session, dedicated to rainy days. Perfect.
☺️☺️☺️
In these kinds of mornings, where I and hubby have managed to carve out a space for running, yoga and chatting on the forum, life is good!
Wishing everyone similar moments of inner peace.
P.s. and just now the postman came and delivered my ☆ first ever ☆ running medal (Conqeror’s Hadrian’s Wall), just ready for my Runniversary tomorrow! I didn’t know medals could be so beautiful!
Happy running everyone.

That's certainly a classy bit of bling that you've earned for yourself. Congratulations 😊 It sounds like you've had a lovely morning and can now spend the afternoon happy knowing that you've got your exercise done hopefully you can now relax and ignore any jobs list you may have 😂
Wow that is a corker of a medal! Sounds like you've had a lovely day of it so far. I'm in the final mayhem before annual leave next week - can't wait!!
We are all tempted...🤣🤣 Go on...wear it around the house this afternoon!😉🙂
That is one good looking bling! I got my snail medal (for 60 minutes) in the mail yesterday. And sounds or rather reads like a good run! Always nice having a day off eh?
Well done CBDB that’s a lovely medal! I think it’s so important that we try to make time to go for a walk or run every day, particularly when working from home. It’s so easy to get involved in work stuff otherwise and forget to look after ourselves🙁It just happens to be my Runniversary today, which I’ve just worked out (thanks for the reminder!). It’s 3 years ago that I took my first very tentative steps out the door to start C25K 🏃♂️
I never would have thought in a million years that I’d have been able to run as much as I do now, yet here I am with a drawer full of medals, t-shirts and running shoes to show for it!😃
Happy Runniversary, David!!!Definitely, it’s been an amazing journey through a very challenging period. I am so thankful to have finally gotten into the habit of running, as my inner peace is certainly benefiting immensely.
