Amiodorone and Covid Vaccination

Looking for anyone on Amiodorone that has had the Covid vaccination.

Following nasty episode of AF requiring hospitalisation, husband has recently been put back on Amiodorone after a 15 month stoppage. INR has only just been stabilised following Amiodorone loading dose regime.

Would like to know if other Amiodorone patients found their INR affected by Covid vaccination?

My OH has been on Amiodarone for 2 years, he had the Pfitzer jab in Dec 20 & Jan 21. Not even a sore arm which I had for 36 hrs.

Having the jab is of far less risk than catching COVID.

Not relevant at all as we are both on DOACs.

I am not on amiodarone but my INR was totally unaffected by my vaccine.

I am not on Amiodorone, but my INR went out of range following the AstraZeneca jab. This must be a known possible problem because the doctor who did my jab said I must get my INR checked within 7 days. I was back in range the following week.

I take Amiodorone and have done so for 10 years. Had Pfizer jab - just bit achy arm next day and then 8 days later woke up with very hot and itchy arm. Had red area of about 5in x 1in. I felt okay but so hard not to rub it! Next day much better and redness began to fade too. GP was not concerned. Friend had AZ jab and had same reaction 10days later.
