post surgery stitches
Hi all 👋 I’m about 4 weeks post op from my diagnostic laparoscopy and recovery seems to be going well so far but my stitches seem to be taking ages to dissolve! I have the dissolvable stitches which apparently should have gone in a couple weeks but they are holding strong and don’t want to come away

hello all womb cancer warriors, post treatment ,all removed and some brachytherapy, now experiencing pins and needles in left groin area when defecating, have back pain also, is this a blip or is it ringing any bells with someone. Trying to avoid the gp surgery as feel I may be listed as a hypochondriac

Any advice? do I take prednisone after surgery since I will be fasting overnight? How long do I have to wait until I can bend over? Does it take longer to heal with prednisone? I'm on 3 mg.

Had an appointment with the rheumatologist a few weeks back said that arm and shoulders ache . Said to continue steroid reduction and its wear and tear in the shoulder joints . Said both were equally painful and not in the socket. Sent me for X-rays. Haven’t heard the results. Last week my ear blocked

SWOLLEN ANKLES WITH LUNG CONDITION
Hi, This is my first post on here I think. Almost a year ago I was in hospital as I couldn't breath, felt like I was suffocating. I'd had a chest x-ray 6 months previous and was told my lungs were quite normal and my dr couldn't find a reason for my breathlessness. It did improve for a while, but came

Abuse from mom, ill, sprained knee, un-understanding therapists
My mom's constantly telling me how terrible her life is and what burden i am. Today grandparents called for one minute and she went crazy and caused a scandal. Because when they asked me if i have a fever, i said I'm getting better instead of no. I was competeing with her, i had to have it worse. She

Health Anxiety
Hello everyone! I’m new here and just looking for some ways to cope. Long story short; I had a VERY complicated pregnancy in which I spent majority of it in the ER or doctors office. I ended up having surgery in order to keep my daughter in longer; it worked to an extent but I ended up going into labor

Until recently I had kidney stone surgery and was laid off my job after working for 16 years. Now I’m hypervigant of everything in my body. I get sick a lot. ( ear infections

Levo - am I worrying too much?
First, best wishes to all for Christmas and the New Year. I have been on Levo 100 for seven or so months now - the Accord brand. I got my new order by post about ten days ago and stupidly didn't open the parcel until Christmas day, when I needed to! They sent me Teva, so I have missed two days so far

Nearly 14 years on - time has flown.
On Friday 16th April 2010 I joined the Pernicious Anaemia Society and posted the following: “I was diagnosed with PA back in 1972 consequent upon having had surgery for a peptic ulcer in April 1959 at the tender age of 17.
