New Challenge!

Hi, I haven’t been on here for a while as was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer following a mammogram in late September. I underwent surgery for a mastectomy with a reconstruction on 15 th December and now starting my recovery! So going to be tricky managing my PMR symptoms as well as deal with this! Also waiting for a referral for a bulge in a disc in my neck following an MRI scan at the beginning of November which the physiotherapist sent me for. I had IV Prednisalone during my operation as well as after but dropped back to 7 1/2 now but some stiffness seems to be creeping back but my gp doesn’t seem to want me to go up again! Just hoping it won’t get worse!

well done getting through that lot. Are you sure the stiffness is PMR?

Thank you. I’m pretty sure it is PMR as when the dose was increased during the operation and after felt really normal afterwards particularly with my knees and shoulders have often wondered whether it could be arthritis maybe!

Have you been taking any anti-hormone drugs? Where was the tissue taken from for the reconstruction?

No but will have to at some point. I had a silicone one
