cold after exertion
Hi About an hour or 2 after exertion I get incredibly cold and feel like my metabolism has pretty much come to a grinding halt. Examples: couple hours after cold water dip or after a 2hr ceroc class where I got v fatigued and sweaty. Both challenged my body a lot. is it thyroid related? Can I tweak

Covid and flu jabs
covid and flu injections. I am due to have both but am worried about side effects while on steroids. Should I just do it for my own protection.

Daughters habit cough always starts in September…
My daughter age 7 has suffered with mild asthma for the last 3/ 4 years. Each year at this time (Sept/Oct) she develops the same type of cough. It’s like a tic/ habit cough, and very preset when shes watching tv or going to sleep . I really feel for her it’s stopping her getting off to sleep (takes

Hi all, wondering if anyone knows if you can take Lysine tablet form when on MTX I’ve heard it prevents cold sores. Any help would be appreciated?

Flu Jab type for ET aged 63
I’ve just received my new Flu jab. 👍 I was told I have to have the one for people under 65, (I’m 63). However, the flu jab for over 65 has additional boosters, because of declining immune responses in the over 65s. Because of my ET, I also have a reduced immune response…yet although the pharmacist

Adrenals and flu jab
Just had an odd reaction to my flu jab. Like many of us here, I decided to get separate jabs rather than the two-together that most centres are giving in the UK. I felt alright for about two hours then a huge fatigue swept over me, legs weak, neck stiff, slightly light-headed. Thought it might be low

Feeling Really down
Sorry, but a lot of members here will know that this is not me to moan. I've been in hospital with pneumonia, high heart rate and covid. It all started at the beginning of September when I awoke one morning with a soreness in my heart. I thought this is it I'm having a heart attack, dialled 999 and paramedics

Over 65 Flu vaccine
I have just reached 65 and so my flu vaccine was the first one I've had in that category. For the first time I have had some side effects which started 24 hours after the vaccine. It started with my arm becoming painful and then headache, back ache and then nausea and stomach pain and diarrhoea. So

Sore Throat
I have a sore throat right at the base of my throat where my thyroid is. It’s particularly sore in the night. Could it be my thyroid or just a random sore throat? My tonsils and throat area are slightly red, but nothing major. My current dose is T4 100mcg and T3 18.75. What can I do about it? Painkillers

Just been diagnosed with asthma. Had no idea I even had asthma until took the flu which went deep into my chest and ended up with bronchitis, still suffering! Have been put on Fostiar 200 2 puffs morn/evening. Also have post nasal drip too. Been on puffer 8 days, how long does it take to relieve

Fibromyalgia and Flu/cold
I think I caught a bug, possibly flu or a cold, and I have been recently diagnosed with fibro. The flu symptoms started yesterday during the night and I woke up with a horrible headache. Now I am experiencing an awful and extremely intense musculoeskeletal pain all over my body, particulary back, neck

Flu vaccine side effects
hi all - being asthmatic in the UK I’ve had my flu jab for many years now. Sometimes I feel ropey for 24/48hrs after and sometimes not. Just wondering if anyone else has been hit quite hard by this years? It’s clearly better than getting flu but it’s been pretty bad. The first 24hrs I felt quite unwell

Has pleurisy returned
In July I was diagnosed with supraglottis and a lung infection, my lung partially collasped. Prior to this I had pleurisy. I now have a common cold and a dry cough which is uncomfortable under my left shoulder blade. Its the same lung all the time I suffer with. Could I have pleurisy again 😫

Comparison can be good for the soul...
I do not often write on here but it seemed these musing may be of interest to others so here goes... ONE of the great advantages I find from attending the courses run by the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service (PRS) is comparison. And after today's session I feel encouraged. Not that I am significantly
