I have been on Calquence for 37 days, and I have developed a cough for four days now. My nurse thinks it is a virus, has anyone developed a cough. I have no sore throat, just constant cough. I tested myself for Covid it came out negative. I will be seeing my Cll oncologist in Ohio next wed.
My doctor that is treating me here is not a CLL Specialist. Thanks

I developed a cough while on Imbruvica for 6 months and was pulled fro. It when I developed two types of pneumonia. I was back on Watch and Weight for two years and then needed to resume treatment and I have been on Calquence for ten months and my cough is back and I have been told that it is a side effect for some people, however, I love Calquence for what it has done for my labs and I have never felt better in the 33+ years having CLL.
To arrive at the diagnosis your nurse will have checked the nature of your cough and for any other symptoms. Last summer, shortly after starting on a new medication (not for CLL), I had a productive chesty cough for 8 weeks with no concomitant fever or other symptoms. I'm absolutely certain I had caught a respiratory virus, nothing to do with the meds.
