So I’m only on day 3 and the drugs are kicking in bigtime. 10mg of Progynova a day, 200mg Evorel patches every other day. I think I’m very sensitive to the glue on the patches too as they are really itchy and I already want to rip my legs off 😔. Haven’t even started the 400mg x 4 times a day of Cyclogest yet! Not to mention Prontogest down the line 😳. I’m crying all the time and am finding my husband the most annoying person on earth. Aaaaahhh. Bring on day 4!!
Anyone else with me?

In general, the drugs they gave me in previous cycles provoked really bad mood swings in me. I hated som of them for what they did to me ut please don't punish yourself. A
At the moment your body is in a kind of artificial state due to all these hormone cocktails and you just need to remember that this will not be forever. It is for a good cause. Just try to be patient and when someone annoys you; just ignore it and put that thought aside.
I can sooo relate every time they put me on hormones my husband annoys me soo much. He’s not even doing anything and he annoys me 😂 I’m not a grumpy person in general but I’m so short tempered on them too 🤦♀️ Xxx it was like a count down to get off them xxx
I hear you 😆. They really are terrible aren’t they??! The thing is you know it’s the drugs making you sooooo hormonal but that doesn’t help!! The things we have to do, eh?! Xx
hiya! So I’ve had 6 egg collections and 7 transfers over the last 8 years and finally 17 weeks pregnant!! My immediate thoughts for you are the following…. There’s a patch called Estradot which is really small and not itchy at all!! It gives the same amount of estradiol as the other patches - You just have to specify and find a pharmacist that stocks it. In terms of prontogest - I found out after switching clinics that I could go in a high dose of Lubion instead - which despite being very expensive is a tummy injection. I was on 3 lubion a day and 3 cyclogest. Was far less stressful than the prontogest and I could administer it myself. If you’ve had many miscarriages I would deffo ask to be put on clexane (also expensive and not fun but worth it), 75mg aspirin and prednisolone!!!! It’s a lot cheaper than doing all the gets to see whether you have an MTHFR mutation and/or a natural killer cell problem (both of which I have). These will negate those issues in case you have them and also won’t do any harm if you don’t have them…. This is advice I can finally give after going to 3 different clinics and ending up at the most expensive (and in my opinion best consultant) in Harley street!
Firstly congratulations 🥳 🎉. Thank you so much for the message. This is all so helpful. I’ve not heard of Estradot. I will ask my clinic about it when I go in for a scan on Friday. Sounds dreamy 😆. I will be on dalteparin (blood thinners) same as clexane if the transfer is successful and on aspirin already. Interesting re lubion. A lot of people on here are on it I know. My clinic have always preferred prontogest but I will ask them about that too. Had all the tests re natural killer cells etc. Thanks so much for all the advice this is great! Would be very interested to know which clinic you’re with as my clinic also has a branch in Harley Street. If you’re able to DM me that would be very interesting.
hi - hope it’s okay to post. I was reading your thread and I’m CD8 of a natural fet. Just done 5 days of letrazole and on constant clexane throughout; having big headaches, and a little teary, but I think this process does a lot of that too - the hormones all then help massively. I’ve got cyclogest and prontogest to come too - interesting to hear of lubion… will ask about this. I was left with a numb bum for ages last year after doing the prontogest … really hard to self administer! Tummy jab sounds lots better. Wishing you well for your journey 😊
Wishing you all the luck 🤞🤞. Prontogest is a pain (quite literally!) but I’ve done it before (several times) and my clinic have historically always been a fan as they think it’s the most effective. If that’s the case then I’m happy to stick with it. My husband does most of them but I have done some myself. I agree it is tricky 🤦♀️. To be honest I had quite enough of daily tummy jabs with dalteparin. I looked like a pin cushion. I’m not sure I fancy 3 injections a day into my tummy but worth thinking about. When’s your transfer? Xx
Yeah, I’ve done the pront a few times too- I found warming it up on a hot water bottle did help though, and keeping the water bottle on butt after too lol. I’m on the clexane for tummy shots and only having one a day, but I’m already lacking unbruised areas 😂.
I’m not sure on transfer now, or if there will be one. I’m on a natural fet so was waiting for a lead follicle, but scan yesterday didn’t look promising. Great lining (trilaminar) but follicles all small and the biggest at 6.9mm on cd12 so I’m thinking we might get abandoned 😢. I also got my sister telling me she was pregnant this week, in a WhatsApp too, no less 😞.
When is transfer looking for you? Hope you’re feeling alright now on the meds xx
Oh hun, sorry to hear that. Scan again on Monday for you? Everything crossed that things change 🤞🤞. Also what rotten luck re your sister. I’m sure you are happy but it’s such tough tough news to take, especially over WhatsApp!!
Not sure re transfer I have a problem with my lining historically so just taking one day at a time. It’s still too thin and got another scan on Monday and then probably Wednesday too before I can even start thinking of starting the progesterone. Fingers crossed for me too!!
hey higer - how have things been this week? Thanks for your positive message I had to come off everything this week as I was quite down about everything. It was all looking bad, but got the go ahead for a transfer today!! …. Without ever getting that lead follicle too- I’m confused though, as thought that was needed but now I’m booked to begin cyclogest tomorrow and transfer next week! This never goes how you expect it does it!
How’s your lining doing? Has it plumped up a little? I hope so xx fingers crossed you get your date asap! Xx
Oh wow that’s amazing news. No there is one thing that’s certain in IVF and that is that nothing is ever certain 🤪. I have my transfer next week too. My lining very suspiciously got to 8.3 which is an actual miracle. Never happened before. Not even close! Everything crossed for us both xx
a ‘wow’ for you too! Wonder what was going on to change that for you! Such good news! I hope everything goes well till then I’m glad we can 2WW together - or share a little of it. I’ve started cyclogest this morning….
Good luck to you too. I don’t know what’s going on. It’s freaked me out so much I feel like something is definitely going to go wrong! Yep we’ll definitely be on the 2ww together xx
