The stress of not being able to tolerate Statins
The stress of not being able to take Statins. This subject comes up often as to whether I should be on Statins. Some people tolerate them well and I have friends who can. That’s fine. However for some of us who have been tried and tested on Statins and proved unable to take them it doesn’t exactly present

Do lower glucose levels slow the prostate cancer growth? 70-85 level better than 90-100 level? Continuous Glucose Monitor usage?
Anyone w/ avg fasting blood glucose in the 85-100 range, use a continuous glucose monitor to learn how to lower their levels to 70-85? Do men with average fasting blood glucose levels below 80 live longer than guys above 90? These are not diabetes or pre-diabetic figures but is it possible or likely

Can you keep focus in large group settings?
Hi all. I have ET Jak2 positive. I take hydroxycarbamide, blood thinners and statins. I really struggle to focus in a large group setting e.g. a party or meeting. People talk to me and I feel as though they go out of focus. I can nod, show appropriate reactions etc but communication on my end is limited

Statins aid PCa control?
Is there a specific statin(s) that are helpful with PCa? One was mentioned a while ago, but I don't recall the name. My husband has been taking Pravastatin for high cholesterol for many years, but I don't think this was what was mentioned on this site. Any info?

When to take your medication?

Alternative to Omeprozole
My eGFR is 61, so close to stage 3a kidney disease. Still trying to take it in. Last thing I expected from a general blood test. Had a text from GP last week to say all normal but the nurse I saw later in the week shared kidney result. I have well controlled high blood pressure, take 4mg, a low dose

Microvascular Disease / Syndrome X
Hi, I'm new to this forum. I have chest pain/discomfort most days and am very restricted in what I can do. I get breathless and tightness in my chest when I try to do things that most people would take for granted, including light housework, light gardening, lifting/pushing/pulling most things heavier

paxlovid interactions-statins, thinners
I was prescribed statins and eloquis both mentioned in this article as contraindicated for Paxlovid. But i did not take them for other reasons. I am getting C scan in Nov. to see if i should take a vacation from acalabrutinib in which case an urgently required trip to Estonia overseas might be doable

Statins and PBC
I’m male and was diagnosed with PBC 12 years ago. I’m broadly asymptomatic but because of raised cholesterol levels (caused by PBC?) have recently been prescribed statins. I’ve read that statins shouldn’t be taken by anyone with liver disease and wonder if others have experience of this.
