Mobitz Type 1/Wenckebach AV Heart Block
I received the results of a recent 48 hour Holter monitor today. I had the Holter fitted because I'd been experiencing palpitations and skipped beats; this has settled down now and I think may have been largely stress-related.I was diagnosed with non-obstructive CAD back in 2018 and take statins etc

Paper showing which thyroid hormone assays are sensitive to biotin
This new paper is behind a paywall, but the abstract says all that is needed. It identifies those test manufacturers whose methods use biotin which disturbs thyroid function tests amongst others. This gives TUK posters/admin some ammunition to challenge incorrectand misleading results a) by not taking

Statins and Fibromyalgia
My doctor has suggested that due to my family history I should start taking statins . Reading the information on possible side effects it seems one could be muscle pain and on some online medical sites it flags up fibromyalgia and statins. I don’t think I can take further added pain to my fibromyalgia

Cholesterol and Statins
Just had results of Cholesterol test which is 6.2 (up from 4.8 three years ago and pre PMR). Started a low carb diet as soon as prescribed Prednisolone and it has certainly stopped me from gaining. Weight but has meant that I have had to add more fat to my diet for energy. I am guessing that this has
