so I’ve been trying to reduce from the 10mg I was sort of ok on. Well after tapering over a couple of months I’m down to 9mg again and once again I’m in a lot more pain. It’s especially bad at about 3:30am when it really is painful to move. I’m very stiff in the morning after getting up around 6-7am,

statins
Doc wants me to start statins and I’ve always been very reluctant due to a bad reaction but recently had a call from the Pharmacist for a review and she said I could take one statin once a week and it would still help, not everyday which is usual! Has anyone else been given this advice and is it a thing

Atorvastatin triggering AF?
I wonder if anyone has heard of a statin being the actual trigger for AF? I found one article that said that a 61 year old man had developed AF two weeks after being put on Simvastatin, but that was back in 2003 and since then most articles seem to say that statins are beneficial and reduce AF. The reason

Update following long-awaited GP appointment for results of Thyroid blood test
Following my last post, I have finally had my GP appointment. I thought it was solely to discuss my annual Thyroid blood test but it seems they had also tested for cholesterol. Had a long lecture about high LDL and the risk. I explained that I couldn't really do any more to improve it as I already

I thought it about time to offer something positive about my reflux issues. You can skip to conclusion but thought history would help: . I posted months ago about how a cardiologist said my upper chest pressure probably reflux. I spent weeks on PPI - helped sensation in throat but gave me awful regurgitation

Anxiety is back as bad as ever
Hi all, not doing well at all lately regarding anxiety. I know the reason but that doesn’t help. I have recently been told that I’m pre diabetic and that I have CKD both thought to be due to heart meds. Then the other day, out of the blue, another call from surgery regarding cholesterol results. All

Effect of increased levo dose
Rather unexpectedly, as not supposed to be until 3 months after having my levo upped from 75 to 100mcg, my TSH and T4 were tested after just 5 weeks. TSH 0.16 (0.27 to 4.2), T4 21.7 (12 to 22). As I was not expecting thyroid tests at this time (different test booked) I had taken levo 3 hours before
