Finally got results
Got letter from GP with results. He says T3 is slightly below the normal range but if I am feeling well this is the level he would be reasonably happy with. Alkaline phosphatase is very slightly raised as is haemoglobin both to be tested again in 3 months. Still waiting the results of the vitamin D test

Help with diagnosing gut issues that suddenly started 18 months ago
I'm new to this community and hoping to get some guidance on my gut issues. The heaviness, bloating and slow digestion started suddenly 18 months ago and I'm failing to get a diagnosis with my gastroenterologist. I would be very grateful if anyone could provide an insight into what this could be or at

Latest #s - Is my B12 sublingual 1000mcg daily working?
Hello, My Friends (who are most likely asleep as I write this from Ohio). On June 14th I had updated blood tests done that I specifically requested based on suggestions made on this forum so we could see if maybe my B12 treatment is getting into my cells. My B12 blood serum is close to 1000, but we

I posted my medichecks results a few weeks ago with full thyroid panel indicating low ferritin . I made an appointment with gp who was not aware of the NICE guidlines regarding this. I gave her a copy of the information I had from this site and she accepted them However because I am over 60 she was

Help with results and GP recommendations
I have been struggling with Hashimoto since 2016 probably undiagnosed for a long time. My TSH results at the GP have always been around 3-4 and the GP always said your results are in range but I was feeling knackered. I have seen a few a functional medicine doctors over the years while they have helped

Hashi's Flare? Lab Results Help
Hello! About a month ago, I had worked my way up to 45 mg of NP Thyroid. I felt okay but not great. I started working on my vitamin levels and cracking down on gluten again. At the same time, I went through a few weeks of severe stress, which suddenly led about a week of feeling what I would describe

Armour or the single pill - hair loss
Hi Has anyone got Hashimotos and tried Armour or been on the progesterone only pill? As about three months ago I went from NP to Armour NDT as my TSH was nearly 4.5 taking 1.5 grains of NP (I have always taken 1.5 of WP and done ok on this) But then at the same time I also changed from the depo injection

New bloods - confused about iron study outcomes
Good afternoon Fabulous people – hoping for your wisdom again. I had new bloods on 10th June (8 week check on levo dosage). I knew that the NHS bloods wouldn’t test FT3 and FT4 (even though they were specifically requested on the form by the GP). I ordered a medichecks test to test these privately.

Hair thinning and Hypothyroidism
Hi there, I'm a patient who has been recently placed on a low dose of Levothyroxine which I am trying desperately to get upped. Currently 25mg and 50mg on the weekends. I'm 43, I've just caught sight of my hair in the mirror in my bathroom and there is a marked appearance of thinning of my scalp at

Breast cancer and Radiotherapy
I have Lupus/Sjogrens and unfortunately have been diagnosed with breast cancer. I’m currently undergoing chemotherapy first in order to try and reduce the tumour in order that the operation will be less invasive. After my second MRI I was given the great news that the tumour had reduced by 50%. However

Another Laparoscopy? Help!
Hey so some of you may know me and my story. For those that don't here's a summary; I'm 37, I've been diagnosed with Endometriosis in 2017 through my diagnostic lap, the specialist performed an excision around my bladder and uterus (stage 4). In 2018 I had a planned further excision of endo from my bowel

Pain caused by Letrozole
Been on Letrozole for 10 months due to my hormonal breast cancer to which I had a right mastectomy. It is ruining my life I’m in constant pain every joint especially my knees! I have loads more side effects can’t imagine another 4 years of it! I’m now on anti inflammatory tablets and pain killers too
