Been on Letrozole for 10 months due to my hormonal breast cancer to which I had a right mastectomy. It is ruining my life I’m in constant pain every joint especially my knees! I have loads more side effects can’t imagine another 4 years of it! I’m now on anti inflammatory tablets and pain killers too! Any tips?

Hello, I sense your desperation. Experiencing continual pain impacts on our well being and daily life and this is what is happening to you. I can only hope others on here will be able to give you some moral support and help. My own pain is manageable so far but I urge you to go back to your doctor and seek further help. You cannot go on like this.Sending you a hug and kind wishes.

Hi Bunny, i had a lumpectomy in June and finished radiotherapy in August, i was then started on Anastrozole for 5 years. It has caused muscle pain , i do have alot of hot flushes. Could you contact your oncologist or breast care nurse as they can change you to a different drug if you are having severe side effects. I hope you find something that can help as you have been through alot xxx

You might find it helpful to try an anti inflammatory diet if no alternative to the tablets you are on. I hope something works for you.Inpainful

Hi bunny I've been in pain in all my joints since I started taking Letrazole.. Trouble is I had arthritis before I started so can't be sure which is caused by Letrazole.. I spoke to an orthopaedic consultant and he didn't believe Letrazole would cause and joint pain.. Made me cross because there are so many people saying it does... Cancer nurse said come off it for a while to see if it makes a difference but it stays in your system for 9 along time..Sorry no answers

Hi sorry to hear you are suffering too. I also have rheumatoid arthritis for past 20 years but had very little pain as I’m on methotrexate so I know the Letrozole has caused all this terrible pain. I will see what they say at my next appointment thank you x
