Second GP visit following private Thyroid Panel
Hi Looking for some guidance please. I was picked up on a blood test about 18 months ago and am now taking Levothyroxine. I haven't seen much improvement (or side effects) but am now considered "managed" by the GP as my TSH is now within range. I had asked for further test and these were declined so

. Jan 2021 and I was reasonably healthy for my age. ( ancient !) but suddenly developed some mega active itching in both of my legs - mainly below knee,- this turned into lumpy crusty red areas which were so sore and painful. scratching was such a no-no but unavoidable which resulted in a hot burning

Exhausted but happy.
I spent seven hours at the lung transplant clinic at Harefield yesterday. I was weighed and measured many times, sometimes with boots (dockers!) on sometimes off, ECG, echocardiogram, chest xray, blood tests, blood pressure test, lung function test, urine test, and finally mrsa test! Everone

I was wondering if anyone has had swelling in their legs, ankles and feet after travelling for 4 plus hours. I have never had this before and I’m wondering if it is the steroids

pulse of steroids
Hi I had an IV pulse of steroids last Thursday, I was wondering what experience others might have had with this. Initial results were good, better pain relief, swelling in hands much improved, but I still have pain within each joint, especially wrists and knees.

Request sedation for a cortisone injection
So today I got some more bad news. I had my hip replacements checked as my newest one has been causing me a lot of pain. On my CT it showed that I have arthritis in my sacroiliac joint. Yet again, another joint that is either dysplastic or has arthritis. Did I mention I had two hip replacements at 25

What to expect on 3mg/day pred, and monthly tapering...
I've been on various doses of Pred since Sept 2021, and diagnosed with PMR Mar22. I'm currently tapering Pred by 1mg/month (at 3mg and two weeks in). My consultant wants me off the steroids (and Sulfadiazine). January cortisol 9am test was 600 (consultant said "satisfactory") As I "ween" I'm getting
