Skin tear
Hi all Haven't posted on here for a few years now but still like to read posts on how everyone is managing and hopefully coping with their pain. I'm on Benepali injections and feel like I've been given a new lease of life, my problem is steroids I still take 5mg every day and have done for the past 6yrs

From Prednisone to Morphine
I was wondering if anyone had been offered Morphine as an alternative to Prednisone? It’s been suggested to me by my new Rheumatologist recently. He’s questioning my diagnosis of PMR & suggests the pain is due to “wear & tear”. My pain is symmetrical, in all the usual places (knees, hips, shoulders,

Methotrexate & over heating
Hi all, I've been taking Methotrexate after dinner on a Wednesday evening for three weeks now and I've been finding that I get super warm doing anything from around Friday lunchtime to Monday/Tuesday. I take the Folic Acid on Thursday evening. I also take a bunch of other drugs including anticonvulsants

Tinnitus and Meniere's
Has anyone ever received Intratympanic steroid injection in their ear(s) for Tinnitus or Meniere's? I was just curious if it was worth it and made matters better. Is the injection painful or create other issues? My ENT has recommended it for my left ear which has a variety of issues. Thanks.

Finally a little light!
Many of you have been kind in giving me advice and support over the last year, especially when I was 'wading through treacle'. A few weeks ago I had another steroid injection and leflunomide added to my MTX. I hardly dare say this but I'm actually starting to feel better. My joints have gone down so

ITP, Need your help
In May 2016, some purpura and Petechia was observed in my legs, to know about it I did CBC. CBC report showed that Platelets of my blood had reached about 47,000 and by passage of 20 days it decreased and reached to 10,000. Beside this I had heavy bleeding and Epistaxis along with purpura. I stated

Pes Anserine Bursitis - steroid injection offered.
On Thursday I had an appointment with a rheumatologist who had previously been quite impatient and dismissive of me. I made up my mind to give him the briefest details of my woes over the last 9 months. (This is a 6 monthly appointment 😂). He was happy for me to continue with my slow tapering and then

shingrix vaccine
Contacted my GP surgery to request my vaccine. The receptionist was adamant I was not eligible. Saying I would get it next year when I am 70. I explained the NHS had sent me a letter explaining I should get antivirals if I got Covid. Told her my condition and that I was taking steroids. She said my name
