Hi everyone. I am a new member to this forum after recently being diagnosed with moderate upper lobe emphysema and traction bronchiectasis with early honeycomb change. I am due to have 3 teeth implants with sinus lifts, which will take about 2 hours. I have opted for iv sedation and local anaesthesia

An unusual way to grieve.
It is now 73 days AD (After Dad). Things are moving very fast, we spotted a bungalow for Mum and due to her having extremely poor mobility with various ailments, have decided to take the plunge and 'go for it'. We all know that the received wisdom is to take things slowly after a bereavement and not

New to CMT
After two years bouncing from 1doctor/specialist my primary care doctor sent me to the University of Florida. There a wonderful neurologist quickly diagnosed me with CMT. That was my beginning of knowing what I was dealing with. I have been bed-ridden for over 2 years using a walker or wheel chair. A

Confused
Hi all , I'm completely confused I was diagnosed with Cmt last year . I am 57 years old and spent so many years being told I was clumsy and falling over, I was sent to an array of different doctors to the point I was beginning to think the symptoms I had was in my head, anyway to cut a long story short

Tooth extraction and blood tests
My dentist finally agreed to take the two infected teeth out on the condition that I stop Xarelto for two days prior. My appointment is 6.30 pm and my dilemma now is that I have blood tests early the following morning for the cardiologist. Does anyone know if the extractions so soon beforehand will impact

Snowy run today with cleats
Well we finally got the snow they were promising, around 4-5 inches I think. And before the temp dropped later in the aft, I decided to go out with my stick-on snow cleats, and give it a whirl this morn. Never having actually run in snow, I have to say it was really nice. The temp wasn’t too cold and

Blood Books for recording and sharing blood results and medication - examples wanted!
Hi The idea of an ongoing single "Blood Book" in which all hospitals and GPs providing care for an MPN patient can record blood test results and medication over the long term is getting some traction. Forum members here whose hospitals and GPs share that sort of system have said here how
