Vitamin D3
Hi there , Please could someone tell me of a name of a D3 supplement as the one I'm taking contains Soya and I know it's bad for thyroid and the reason I chose this was as I'm lactose intolerant . I found out my vitamin d levels are low so this is possibly the reason I have been having vertigo and so

Itchy bumps
I know this is a subject that has appeared before but it seems to me that no one has ever come up with a specific diagnosis/treatment for the spontaneous bumps that appear and cause so much discomfort. Have been seen by dermatologist who biopsied same - report states insect bites - these are definitely

Vitamin D levels
After TT 8 years ago and damaged parathyroids I was put on Alphacalcidol. This was reduced to 0 .25mg in July. My Vitamin D has now gone down from 40 to 24. Could this be due to the reduction in Alphacalcidol. The Endo has now put me on AdCal D3, 1 a day as well. Is anyone else on this combination

Hi, I've been floating around the thyroid board and someone suggested I pop over to this board for some advice. I've been feeling extremely tired for the last almost two years, at present I feel I can function but have had times when I've spent a week or so just on the sofa unable to do very much at

T3 and vascular calcification
Yet another paper identifying a specific action of T3 that isn't just "for hypothyroidism". Very interesting the interplay of vitamin D and thyroid hormone. And perhaps a shot across the bows of the "vaping" juggernaut which appears to claim that there are no health issues in using electronic "cigarettes

Genital ulcers
Attended my rheumatologist today and am going to come off my methotrexate injections early in the New Year. Am concerned my ulcer frequency will increase and am wondering if anyone can recommend an appropriate steroid cream in case of a 'flare up'?

Vitamin D and Aspirin working
In 5 months of taking 5000 i.u. of Vitamin D-3 a day, I went from a blood test of Vitamin D 25 Hydroxy of 19.7 ng/ml to 30.6. The normal range is 30 - 100. My doctor would like to see that number go much higher than that low threshold of 30. It's a slow move up, but it's working. Hooray! Good news

Itching joints !!
I have been in the throes of flare for the past month or so. At the same time I started to get raised itchy patches in most of the swollen warm joints. This is a picture of my very swollen elbow/upper arm. Been to see GP this morning and straight away he said he thinks it's psoriatic arthritis. The
