Attended my rheumatologist today and am going to come off my methotrexate injections early in the New Year. Am concerned my ulcer frequency will increase and am wondering if anyone can recommend an appropriate steroid cream in case of a 'flare up'?

Genital ulcers
Looks like some folks have recommended a couple of different sprays in the past. I've never used them before - would actually like to hear what people recommend here.

Hi There. Firstly can I ask why you are considering reducing your injections? If it's working why not keep things the same?
In the past I have used the steroid inhaler given to asthmatics to prevent exacervpbation of their asthma. I was given it to try to increase the speed of healing of gnital ulcers. I do not know if it would prevent recurrence.. The other item I used is a steroid cream in orabase made for mouth ulcers as it clings to the slippery surface of epithelial tissue like a limpet and does not rub off easily. If at all possible make minimal changes if you are doing well. For me it is not worth changing things if things are stable.
Good luck and I hope you find a good solution for you. X
