Recent diagnosis questions & concerns, please respond to any that you can
Concern 7: I have never had a
testosterone
level taken. I have never had my vitamin D level taken. Should these tests be part of the clinical picture for the prognosis and possible progression of my prostate cancer diagnosis?

How many estrogen patches should I use?
The ultimate goal for castrate-sensitive men is to get their
testosterone
down to < 10 ng/dL, and preferably less than 5 ng/dL. Some men on estrogen have reported getting their T down to 3 ng/dL, which is a fantastic number!

failed FET ☹️ next steps? More tests?
During the 7 month wait for our referral appointment, he researched and stopped using a
testosterone
gel he had been prescribed by a doctor 2 years prior as it can effect sperm production (no mention of this when prescribed).

Helpful group
Testosterone
was down to 4. Second blood test due in two weeks. So far no bad side effects except for occasional hot flashes which are brief but it looks like things are trending in the right direction.

Bicalutamide
The thing I don’t understand is during the visit to the Urologist to discuss his biopsy results, the urologist prescribed 50mg of Bicalutamide to begin reducing his
testosterone
. I believe this is premature. What does this esteemed group say?

Yes, Yes, Yes, are you kidding. Sexual performance, primal male dominance, self confidence are all affected by pelvic radiation.
Once I got my
testosterone
checked it was equal to a 900 year olds levels.
Testosterone
helps but sex has never been the same. I've had a testicle removed due to a hydrocell bursting. Viagra is very helpful but I'm not trying to lose my eye sight right away.

PSA rising 10 weeks after Orgovyx Holiday
Began Orgovyx monotherapy in May thru Nov 2023, (6 mos treatment), PSA dropped from 3.3 to 0.05 plateau, Total
Testosterone
(TT) plateau at 4 and my existing Diabetes was exacerbated by the castrate TT levels.

Zytiga after failing nubeqa ?
The orgovyx has been keeping my T level almost in single digits, so Im not sure how another
testosterone
lowering drug like Zytiga would change anything....... but Im willing to try it if its not a complete waste of time and money.

Is this thyroid?
I took them for a week and had a really bad reaction (shaking all the time, excessive sweating and blood pressure spiking) and called the consultant who told me to stop immediately that something else must be going on with my hormones..Blood tests showed slightly elevated
testosterone
, total protein

Do low PSA-producing cells still rely on testosterone to grow?
If higher PSA cells are driven to near extinction by ADT, and if only low-PSA producing cells survive, are the latter still dependent on
testosterone
for survival? If not, what do they depend on to grow?

High prolactin, low progesterone, high testosterone, etc..
i thought i had thyroid disease (my dad has Hashimoto’s) because my levels haven’t been ‘optimal’ in the past. my test results show i don’t have Hashimoto’s, however i do have: - low progesterone - high prolactin - high
testosterone
- low sex hormone binding globulin - high free androgen index

What causes subclinical hypothyroidism?
Since starting levo my prolactin is through the roof at 1500+ as is my SHBG at 200+ and my
testosterone
is now well below range, all of which wasn’t an issue before. My iron has also steadily dropped since diagnosis and is now too low along with ferritin.

New Study - Men on adt for 6 months- 75% recover Testosterone BUT median time is 18 MONTHS!!!????-Orgovyxx may be different? Yes I Hope??
Any studies showing return of
Testosterone
with Orgovyx much shorter than 18 months..
Will
replacement therapy trigger a recurrence?
Are there meta analysis or trials on this?

Gasoline?
Is there any hard evidence that
testosterone
by itself drives or exacerbates the disease? As far as I can tell... * It was Huggins who (suggested) that
testosterone
might act as "fuel" for PCa.

Dizziness from Zytiga/prednisone?
he was hoping we coudl keep PSA down while my
Testosterone
recovered, to see if that woudl make me feel better. to use his words, i have 'complained bitterly of the disruptive side effects of medical castration (mostly low libido and dysphoria)' .

MOST RECENT PSA and TESTOSTERONE TEST
My PSA and
testosterone
test results have been PSA .01 and T 11 since July of 2022. I had my quarterly test done yesterday and my PSA is at .02 and T is at 21.5. They are still undetectable, but not sure what caused the rise.

There is some belief that the compression fractures and the prostate cancer treatment (prednisone 0r severely reduced
testosterone
from the treatment) may have caused the osteoporosis,. Damnedif you do and damned if you don't.
