A surprising Diagnosis
My blood test results revealed that all the other hormones besides the
testosterone
was normal. My
testosterone
level is at 1.8nmol/L and the normal range was below 1.7nmol/L. Currently, they said that they don’t need to do anything until I wanted to try and conceive.

THYROTOXICOSIS : ADRENAL CORTEX, DEATH IN THYROTOXICOSIS
An increase in the 5-alpha metabolite of
testosterone
(androsterone) and a relative decrease in the 5-beta metabolite (etiocholanolone) are seen in the urine of thyrotoxic patients [408], but no comparable change in adrenal corticoid metabolism has been observed.

Changing body and symptoms at 30 years old
It was also discovered that my
testosterone
level was a little high above average. I went for a pituitary MRI which revealed the presence of a microprolactinoma (small benign swelling on my pituitary) less than 5mm of size.

Sex Hormone Binding Globulin Modifies Testosterone Action and Metabolism in Prostate Cancer Cells
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5136390/ Does it mean that a high SHBG level is a bad thing? It is also linked with a higher Gleason score: https://www.endocrine-abstracts.org/ea/0063/ea0063p1156 In this case could it be an idea to take stinging nettle root also for Pca and not only BPH?

GRAVES AND THYROTOXICOSIS : LIPIDS, PROTEIN METABOLISM
Testosterone
is able to exert its anabolic effects in thyrotoxicosis. Lewallen et al [431] found that administration of thyroid hormone increases albumin synthesis and degradation in normal subjects, increases the fractional rate of degradation, and reduces the quantity of exchangeable albumin.

Help with blood tests
After first blood test doc put me on compounded
testosterone
3mg. Then retested as above. He has now upped my
testosterone
to 4 mg. My t3 was also low so her prescribed .5mcg cytomel twice a day. Not sure if that’s related in any way.

Me again, sorry to be a pest (I dont have thyroid issue)
I was told I have low
testosterone
by 2 GPs (my level was 0.4 but I wasnt given reference range). The 2nd GP who tested me wrote to the endocrine dept and received a letter back saying that isn't low T and its normal for me (I was previously at 0.7, so its almost halfed).

Low T could hasten time to post-RP biochemical recurrence.
"It’s a finding that could point to the benefit of
testosterone
replacement therapy in men with low free
testosterone
and total
testosterone
. "“We didn’t expect free
testosterone
to be an independent predictor of recurrence,” co-author Linda M.

Supraphysiological androgen [SPA]
The BAT therapy uses a monthly injection of
testosterone
[T] cypionate [Tcyp] designed to induce T blood levels of ~2,000 ng/dL. Many men don't reach that level - some don't get above 1,000 ng/dL. No attempt is made to adjust Tcyp to meet the target.

Disappointing update to my dad's oncology appointment
I asked him if we shouldn't test
testosterone
along with my dad's PSA, as I have seen many men's doctors do.

DHEA low too as well as
testosterone
but I dont think I can take DHEA as my estrogen in high (and dhea can raise estrogen). I'm just baffled really and could do with some help. Thankyou so much. I am on ct3m, t3 only.

RE: Opinion on Thyroid/Hormone results
My
Testosterone
level is ‘low normal’ for my age (24) but we understand Low T symptoms and Lower T levels can be caused by Thyroid problems, deficiencies etc, as they are all linked).

Polycythemia unknown cause - Male 27y
My GP also mentioned that it might be a combination of maybe higher
testosterone
(didn't have tests, but I have very good muscle mass with no steroid abuse, am very hairy and also have very oily skin with severe cystic acne that required a lot of treatment in my late teens) and higher blood iron levels

Could my ex have Borderline Personality Disorder?
Which would potentially mean she has high
testosterone
. The reason I think she may have BPD is that her relationships seem to be on and off. She was with a girl for 4 years before me but she said that was on and off. Me and her are on and off.
