Testosterone test results
Hello I got a
testosterone
test and my results came back as 13.1 nmol/L which seem ridiculously low for my age.. I'm 27.. I was stunned when I was told that the results are within the normal range.. Maybe its within normal range when you compare me with an 80 year old man with diabetes!!

Inverse Regulation of DHT Synthesis Enzymes 5α-Reductase Types 1 & 2 by the Androgen Receptor in Prostate Cancer - Endocrinology, April 2017
This 2017 research paper describes the inverse enzyme conversion that takes place in the conversion of
testosterone
to DHT, which evolving research indicates is the real bad player in the development and progression of PCa.

Unicornuate Uterus and Endometriosis
She knows the implications of an oopherectomy, will have to take HRT and
testosterone
, and won't be able to have children. But the unicornuate uterus is a problem in itself, and she could spontaneously abort right up to 6 months gestation. There is only a 40% chance of a live birth.

All my numbers were close to normal, PSA still 0.1 as is
Testosterone
at its lowest. I feel good other than the side effects of ADT we all experience. My treatments : Generic Zytiga, 750 mg. 10mg.

Nuclear Receptor ERRα Contributes to Castration-Resistant Growth of Prostate Cancer via Its Regulation of Intratumoral Androgen Biosynthesis

9 months after Chemo PSA on the rise.
I asked about
Testosterone
levels, he didn't know and he asked for another blood test. He did say the Chemo will last 9 to 15 months, so it's not unexpected change.

Post ADT testosterone
Am I correct in assuming that no T-support -- either directly or "indirectly", i e. herbal etc -- should be used post-ADT of the risk of rising PSA? I'm feeling grateful that my libido has survived radiation and hormone therapy. So, if the answer is a definitive "no", I'll be OK.

His
testosterone
was REALLY low. 29 to be exact. Normal levels are between 200-800. His red blood cells are slowly dropping again so we have to keep an eye on it. There’s no reason for the drop either. No bleeding. His stomach/abdomen area is still in excruciating pain.

Symptoms of Low Testosterone in Females! List Attached!
I would recommend the following blood test screen: -
Testosterone
-DHEA -Free Androgen Index If your hormone levels are low and you are experiencing some of the attached symptoms. Depending where you are in terms of age / menopause... ask for further investigation.

Non standard Firmagon dosing effective for 3 months from single injection.
Total
testosterone
level is still castrate at 11 ng/dl. Free T 0.09. PSA continues to drop towards a nadir. (Starting at .25, now at .11, two months post IMRT to pelvis.) It appears Firmagon can be used effectively for ADT at less frequent dosing intervals than standard for ADT.

Why should I continue with ADT ?
I don't know any valid reason why I should continue my
testosterone
zero state any longer.. I became "castrate resistant" after about 3 months on my initial ADT (Firmagon) and since then I have continued having similar injections which seemingly have no reaction to my pca state.

Testosterone- Should I be tested and monitored?
I have asked my MO about testing my
testosterone
but he says not necessary as my numbers look good. Should I insist or is he right not to do it until PSA starts rising? Looking for the collective wisdom of this wonderful community.

The need to ejaculate a few weeks post cut
Don't forget that your testicles can produce a rush of
testosterone
into your body when gently played with, you can also try rubbing them against each other. There are lots of ways to reach climax without pulling at your penis.

Has anyone tried reflexology for their Hashimoto’s?
My oestrogen reading was 0 so the docors told me I needed this HRT or maybe that one or
testosterone
, no, definitely not progesterone or maybe it was the first HRT I tried….. Truthfully none of them made a scrap difference. Seventeen years later I crawled into my GP’s surgery and pleaded for help.

Xtandi working
His
testosterone
has gone up to a normal range, since he is only taking Xtandi. What surprised me is that despite his
testosterone
going up -it's 6- his Psa lowered and also his alkaline phosphatase lowered from 1000 to 500? Any ideas as to what is happening? I hope this good news will continue!

Oligometastatic PCa - There’s Hope!!
The plan is to measure my PSA and
testosterone
every 8-weeks and see how I do. The hope is a durable (long term) remission or a cure. So grateful my oncologist has kept Fighting this with me, treating me as an individual and not just following the standard of care.

New findings by a powerful programme studying effects on thyroid function
Even supplementation with
testosterone
alone is able to increase SPINA-GT in parallel to reducing antibody titres [8]. Initiation of therapy with metformin had a similar increasing effect on SPINA-GT, but in men with hypogonadism only [9].

Can Xtandi actually kill advanced prostate cancer?
After 3 months of no ADT drugs, my
testosterone
is at 90 and PSA is still at 0.000 ! The only known mets have been to pelvic LNs that were removed at time of RP. Other than RP and ADT, I have had no other treatments. PSA after surgery was still around 11.00 before starting ADT.
