Provenge criteria necessary for acceptance.
But are there other requirements like certain PSA parameters and lower
testosterone
levels? Do we have to remain on ADT while being treated with Provenge?

Morgentaler Saturation Model: PSA vs Testosterone - Estrogen Patch vs Lupron ADT
This is a plot of % reduction in PSA from a Maximum Value versus
Testosterone
, for two different datasets: Estrogen Patch and Lupron ADT. Both curves (red and green lines) show a linear response starting from (0,0), up to about 200-250 ng/dL.

3 Abiraterone tabs in place of 4.
Recently had blood work done that showed my PSA has moved from 0.04 to <0,04 and the
Testosterone
had not moved from the <7.00 ng/dl. So with this small sample of results there were really no change in ADT effectiveness.

I've been failed
All she talked about was how "girls with PCOS are smarter because they have so much
testosterone
." I didn't go there to hear a bunch of misogynistic rubbish.

MOST RECENT PSA and TESTOSTERONE TEST
My PSA and
testosterone
test results have been PSA .01 and T 11 since July of 2022. I had my quarterly test done yesterday and my PSA is at .02 and T is at 21.5. They are still undetectable, but not sure what caused the rise.

Help with blood results
I wonder if it is linked to the introduction of
testosterone
, I started hrt end of January this year (gel and utrogestan) and
testosterone
2 weeks ago. I had an advanced thyroid panel at medichecks last week and my antibodies are clear. Vitamin D low to normal and ferritin is low.

Bicalutamide
The thing I don’t understand is during the visit to the Urologist to discuss his biopsy results, the urologist prescribed 50mg of Bicalutamide to begin reducing his
testosterone
. I believe this is premature. What does this esteemed group say?

High prolactin, low progesterone, high testosterone, etc..
i thought i had thyroid disease (my dad has Hashimoto’s) because my levels haven’t been ‘optimal’ in the past. my test results show i don’t have Hashimoto’s, however i do have: - low progesterone - high prolactin - high
testosterone
- low sex hormone binding globulin - high free androgen index

My
testosterone
is over-range and may be contributing to the better energy levels I have and more stable SHBG as it was undetectable last time I had it tested, I will now reduce my dose to fit ranges.

Doubling Times and PSA acceleration - Part II
You can use the DT calculator at: https://www.mskcc.org/nomograms/prostate/psa_doubling_time Decreasing the
testosterone
levels to sub-castrate levels (T < 10 ng/dL) are the best way to stop this rapid rise in PSA over time.

testosterone finally moving up after Treatment.
Finally after 19 months of lupron and zytiga and 40 rounds of radiation my
testosterone
has hit 325. I do 3 month testing and it has held for 6 months. I can feel the difference and am not only doing more but my weight is falling off and glucose has a hard time going above 115.

Zytiga - Lupron
There is some belief that the compression fractures and the prostate cancer treatment (prednisone 0r severely reduced
testosterone
from the treatment) may have caused the osteoporosis,. Damnedif you do and damned if you don't.
