I was on Zytiga ( now Abi) with lup for several years and it kept my PSA to undetectable. I am now on 0rg0vyx instead of lup and my PSA remains undetectable after 6 years. Sode effects have been tolerable EXCEPT the I developed osteoporosis of the spin and now have multiple collapsed vertebrae and wedge fractures. There is some belief that the compression fractures and the prostate cancer treatment (prednisone 0r severely reduced testosterone from the treatment) may have caused the osteoporosis,. Damnedif you do and damned if you don't.

Dang! Thank you for sharing. Very interesting that you have moved to Orgovyx. And as for the osteoporosis and vertebrae this is a huge issue of mine. I don't have the osteoporosis yet but I do have several seriously compromised vertebrae. And I am spending some precious time trying to figure out how to get Estradiol. If you can search this site you can see some good notes on this topic. Perhaps it will be even useful for you as well?
prolia / denosumab
My wife’s endocrinologist switched her from Prolia to Tymlos because the Prolia gave her jaw problems (loose teeth). Also, she is taking AlgaeCal. I am on Orgovyx and will start Abi soon so I intend to chat with my med team about this.
How well is Tymlos working for her? She's doing daily injections?
Yes, doing daily injections. It's a "pen" device, much like an epipen. Injection into the belly area. Needle is so tiny you can hardly see it. She had a DEXA scan a week ago so we will know results later this week.
No T is the principal cause of the bone problems....of course bone metastasis is the alternative explanation. You hit the nail on the head..... " Damned if you do and damned if you don't "
My husband will be starting Zytiga and Prednisone early December, in addition to Orgovyx.
I had him get a DEXA this past year just to get a baseline, and I have added calcium citrate, vitamin K, MK4 and MK7to his supplements. He was already taking Vitamin D.
I have severe osteoporosis in my spine, (Score-4.3) and will be starting once a month Evenity injections in December. This is an anabolic medication that builds bone. I will be on it for a year and will hopefully follow up with a low dose of Fosamax to maintain the bone gains.
Hopefully you can get a consult soon with an endocrinologist to discuss treatment options.
I'm so sorry you are experiencing fractures...so very painful and debilitating.
