Tamoxifen
Well, after such great news from my PET Scan, my Oncologist decided to put me on Tamoxifen along with my Ibrance 100mg. I explained that I had not been taking the inhibitor (I told his Assistant last month) and that it caused my RA to flare up. BUT, the side effect warning says it can cause liver cancer

Newbie 🖐
Hi all I have no official diagnosis but have all the signs. I'm 44 and had a mirena coil inserted in march during hysteroscopy and polypectomy. Since then my pain is increasing 10 fold and the bleeding is brown/black mixed with red and dark clots. My tv scan 6 weeks ago showed another haemorrhagic cyst

Delaying starting tamoxifen
Hi all, I was diagnosed in April with IDC (ER+|PR+ HER2-)and had 2 unsuccessful lumpectomies followed by a unilateral mastectomy with immediate implant reconstruction on July 1st last. My oncotype score was 13 and as the mastectomy had clear margins I thankfully don’t need either chemo or radiotherapy

Raised MCV
Hi Does anyone know at what level a GP might consider MCV to be a problem and an indication of B12 deficiency? Mine is 99.8fl (80-99) which is marked as "abnormal" on my blood test results but the doctor never seems to mention it. As I have had fatigue for a few years I occasionally take B12 and folic

Survived right side breast cancer, what are the chances of getting it on the left side?
I have survived 100% Estrogen positive twice over the years, the last time was 2016 I had complete mastectomy on my right breast, chemo and am currently taking tamoxifen. When diagnosed a 2nd time I asked to have a double mastectomy however I was told that they would not remove a healthy breast and that

Hello 🌺🎀 The result of pet scan shows a decrease in the affected area in the left hip from 4 to 2.5. It's good news. But an area appears in the rectum / anus that has to be observed. I have suffered a lot from hemorrhoids all my life. But with tamoxifen treatments and now Letrozole they are active

Is Proton Pencil Beam an option for salvage radiation of a tumor located in left seminal vesicle and extending to rectum wall?
A recent C T guided biopsy at OHSU was positive for recurring prostate cancer. Both NIH and OHSU radiation oncologists have ruled out SBRT because of the tumors location. Has anyone in this group been treated for prostate cancer recurrence with Proton Pencil Beam? I’m 76 years old, very active, and

Tamoxifen and Xeloda
Has anyone taken Tamoxofin in combination with Xeloda? My wife is HR+, HER2- with MBC and there's a possibility this combo will be prescribed. If you have experience with this combo can you please share it? Thanks in advance.

Methotrexate and Tamoxifen anyone?
Hi all, I'm struggling right now with quite a bad flare I think. Rheumy says the lupus is very active, from looking at my bloods. I had to come off Methotrexate (which works very well for me joint, rashes etc-wise) twice in the past 7months due to bilateral foot surgery (awful!) and then breast/lypmh

Hello from a not so tech savvy newbie
Hi everyone. I've been concerned about my weight for as long as I can remember. Looking back at my teens, I had nothing to worry about, I would love to be that weight now. I'm so sick of the endless yoyo dieting. Lose some, give up, gain more. I've joined here to maybe get some motivation and begin to

Hypothyroid - Urged Tamoxifen or Evista to prevent breast cancer
Hi all: I have been struggling to get my hypothyroid symptoms under control and making progress. I managed to lose 30 pounds over the past two years and hit a plateau. In December I managed to convince my Primary Care Provider (PCP) to prescribe Cytomel (U.S. name for T3) , and we were in the process

Hello!
My name is Lisa and I’m a 48 year old woman from East Boston, MA. I was diagnosed as having metastatic breast cancer (already spread to bone) on May 1 of last year (2018). It was a total shock and it still feels surreal. I already suffer from Major Depressive Disorder and Anxiety, for which I’ve been
